They have big hearts...but they have small mouths

I'm watching a show called "The Deadliest Catch"...it's about catching crab. I have no idea why, really.

Work is going pretty well. I seem to be catching on quickly, but there have certainly been some stressful days.

Last Thursday I went in for a shift from 6-10 in the morning, rush hour, and was surprised with the fact that I would have to ring up customers. I had done the training, but that isn't the same as actually dealing with the customers. I get through about 2 and a half hours of steady rush, and when I got my 10 minute break I just started crying. I wasn't mad or sad or anything, just all the stress was overwhelming, and I hadn't cried in a while so it was rough. I was told that every girl cries, though, so it's all good.

I've become pretty good at the register since then, but tomorrow will be quite a change. Tomorrow I learn to make drinks. I can already make frappuccinos, but those aren't especially difficult. Tomorrow will be more learning all the drinks that require espresso and all sorts of goodness. It will probably be the second worst day of work so far. I'm looking forward to it.

Other than that, Lindsay is back in town, and Maggie is here for about a week until her summer class starts. We've already had a Monopoly night. It's good to see them again. I made Linds a caramel frappuccino today, she said it tasted great. Yes.

This is probably a lot more detail than you wanted about my training thus far, but what are you going to do?

I hope everyone is doing well.
