Well, it's December. I did not win Nano. I wrote about 23K on three different novels:
Per Diem, an urban fantasy set in Knoxville with modern-day versions of Hercules's twelve labors, a Halloween-themed commitment ceremony, a washed-up half-troll private eye, an Objectivist grad student vampire, and a desperate need for a new title.
Iron at the Dawn, a fantasy with favelas, magical tattoos, floating ocean cities, redemption, and that classic Ellie Hastings trademark of a small, poorly-organized squad of angsty soldiers led by a capable sergeant with a dry wit.
Anni-Go-Lucky, a lighthearted fantasy based on a fake plot I came up with for an
Evil Editor face-lift, with a small town, a cranky old lady, a vampire and a vegan as star-crossed lovers, a county fair, the power of love, and a werekitten.
I am very, very okay with this.
