I don't believe this. I must be going mental in this place. Gorrammit, a green midget barely up to my knee did it. Actually... levitated... my boat from between the two buildings and on to the square. I'd be laughin' were I not too busy keepin' my jaw from dropping straight to the ground. You know, I'm seriously dislikin' this annoying state of ( Read more... )

Yeah. Like... a vessel you travel in space with? From planet to planet?

[OOC: LOL! And Mal's of course baffled that someone has not heard of spaceships. XD]

In...space? Near the stars, do you mean?

...

((OOC: This is what happens when you come from ancient Egypt. XD The whole concept is leaving him a tad speechless, haha.))

Yep. Well, more like amongst the stars. In the black, as I like to refer to it.

[OOC: I suspect it would indeed! XD]

In the black...an evocative name for the heavens...

...Outside of death, such travel was impossible for my people.

That's a shame. It's a movin' kind of experience, traveling through the black.

I...

...I imagine it must be.

Would it be possible, at some point in the future, for me to see this vessel? The entire concept is very intriguing.

((OOC: ...Why do all my characters want to have spaceship tours? >.>))

Well, suppose that can be arranged. We have to do some fixing up on her first, mind. She's a right mess at the moment, probably not all safe for visitors yet.

[OOC: Spaceships are just so cool. XD]

Spaceships are referred to as though they are women?

I can wait until you believe that...she is safe. Thank you, Mal.

((OOC: They are. Maybe it's on account of I want a tour of Mal's boat. XD))

Generally, yes. Though I think that was the way with regular ships of old, as well. But I'm not exactly a historian.

Don't mention it!

[OOC: Oh, you and I both! XD]

I see. The same was true of the fleets in Egypt, I believe, but I have never been particularly experienced with ships.

And yours is named Serenity, correct? May I ask why?

bad_in_thelatin March 14 2007, 17:32:56 UTC
Because... once you find Serenity, there's no leavin' it. That ship's surely gonna be with me until death.

It is an outward representation, of sorts, of inner tranquility?

Might be that it is, though conjure I'm still lookin' for that inner peace.
