Just came from the Worcester place having done the final clean. Phew! 10 bags of trash later, all is done there.
Now there's only A's stuff to move, though to be fair she owns a LOT less crap than I do. Hey, 8 more years and severe pack rat syndrome and what do you expect?
Massive, huge ÜBER thanks to those who helped Sunday. in no particular order, I owe
eroika big kudos for helping clean, pack, clean, carry small items, and cleaning. Tonight would have been much worse otherwise. Oh, and for bringing John, a veritable moving team on his own! Combined with my coworker Fabrice they handled a huge bulk of the load, even with Fabrice being slightly hung over. Another coworker, Jeremiah, showed up with his truck and lovely wife, Heather. Both truck and Heather where great workers and we, literally, could not have done it without them.
bratling was, no lie, the first person to show up and the last to leave, and never really stopped moving once. His lovely wife, the ever-giving
bhakti showed up after a 6+ hour drive and a week away from home to pitch in with her usual cheeriness and talent. And of course A was in the middle of it all, leading caravans and directing boxes, meanwhile packing the kitchen. I couldn't have asked for a better crew. Thank you ALL!
And lest I forget, thanks to
ladyelsa and
merlin_v12 who arrived when A and I were too beat to feed ourselves with wonderful Thai food in hand. YAY!
Now, a picture that pretty well sums up the entire experience of moving me, thanks to
bratling.
