Adios Tattoo Virginity

So I did it. I got my very first tattoo. And I'm glad to say that I think I handled it very well. We first pulled up, myself and a friend, and there were two men outback skateboarding. Somewhat made me feel out of place, considering I had on a preppy polo and was with a rather large black man. But feeling out of place is nothing new. We walk inside, I show them what I want and sign a few papers and the guy comes out and gives me an estimate and then goes and sets up. By this time I'm nervous as hell. So we go outside for smoke and when we come back in he calls us into the back and says he's ready.

As soon as I saw the guns I almost wanted to puke. But I had to suck it and get it done with. That's a thing with me, no matter if I want to do it or not, I'll do it just so that I don't seem like a pussy. Don't get me wrong, I wanted this but I was still scared as hell. First he shaved my upper arm ... He said "I know you don't think you have hair there but everyone does" ... Put deoderant on my arm and then put the picture on there and then sat me down. He said he would do just a line first to show me what it's be like so I clenched my friends hand and prepared for the worst. He did it. I didn't flinch. And that's how it went for the next hour or so. Don't get me wrong, at times it was somewhat ... painful? No ... uncomfortable is a better word. But the majority of the time it was no problem. Maybe that's because I have a high tolerance for pain. Who knows. But they fact that I didn't mind it only leads me to believe that this one is just the first of many but I guess we will just have to see.

In the end I was really sastisfied with my tattoo (Thanks to the tattoo artist Dale Lee!), the service and the price. So if anyone is looking to get a tattoo ... I suggest that you to to Ink Rush. 227 Bankhead HWY Carrollton, Ga 30117. (770) 834-5854.
