coming soon "clone stories"
episode 1) selena's clone is out in the city having more fun than she is, things get brought to a head when her clone hits on her boyfriend and steals him away from her. selena stabs her clone to death and becomes the first case in US history where a person is brought to trial for killing her own clone.
episode 2) the case becomes a landmark case. when selena is acquitted for the murder, the case sets off a firestorm of revolts among the clone population who by this time have excelled in legal matters and begin the long struggle towards equal rights.
(we follow a budding romance in the offices of the clone only law firm of schwartz, schwartz, schwartz, schwartz, schwartz, schwartz & schwartz.
episode 3) having won their rights to be free from their "originals" and no longer legally allowed to be used as organ farms, the clones organize and form teams of investigators hunting down leads on illegal clone organ harvesting operations. a young idealistic sabastien meets beautiful cassandra while working together at schwartz and brothers and have now joined one such investigating team. as clones they explore their own identities and form a loving bond while tracking down leads on illegal organ farming operations throughout the city.
episode 4) meanwhile in a far off land an evil dictator has had himself cloned and has created a standing army of seven hundred thousand warriors who look just like him. all with the same dumb mustache even...
episode 5) as waves of these foreign clones begin attacking the coasts of America the extreme right wing reactionary elements seize on the opportunity and convince the originals that all clones throughout the homeland must be immediately interned for the duration of the war to assure that they do not have any issues of loyalty. a mass internment is begun. sabastien and cassandra go deeper underground and join the clone resistance.
episode 6) the war is going badly and the waves of foreign clones are inflicting heavy casualties on americans, the decision to release the wrongly interned clones is made for reasons of national security and practicality and the newly released clones join in the fight against the foreign threat and a victory is achieved. (first episode with a mushy feel good ending)
episode 7) now with clone liberation finally in their grasp, the tides turn in favor of the clones, but a charismatic and fiery clone leader emerges and openly calls for a terror campaign of revenge to rid the world of originals. sabastien and cassandra suspect that the clone leader is actually a government provocateur who is sent to drive a permanent wedge between the world of clones and that of their original counterparts and to discredit the hard fought gains that have been made by the clones.
episode 8) a civil war erupts with the reactionary elements calling for mass extermination of anyone identified as a clone, gangs of people take to the streets with guns and blood tests, anyone found to have the clone hallmarks are immediately shot. but the clones fight back with an unexpected organization and fury.
episode 9) john steele and his lovely family are all clones and now must fear for their life, they join the clone resistance and join in the epic struggle for survival. tens of millions on both sides die in the ensuing slaughter. The clones have formed an unexpectedly capable resistance and are bringing the government to it's knees, when a key general in the army turns out to be a clone himself and mounts a successful raid on washington and occupies the capitol bldg and the white house, the situation for the originals looks dim.
episode 10) with victory at hand the general makes a stunning turn and evoking the grace of cincinnatus lays down his sword and makes an offering of peace and unity between the clone world and that of it's originals. but not without a price...
episode 11) the new price of peace comes with the dictate that for all the injustice and organ farming over the years, all organs ever harvested must be immediately returned to their donor clones. regardless of whether the donor clones are walking the streets or in a brain dead state of suspended animation.
episode 12) sabastien and cassandra, in a string of raids and arrests, uncover one staunchly doolittle, an affable american aristocrat and popular celebrity, who is charged with operating an illegal clone harvesting facility for his own life extension effort and is faced with a life and death situation. His heart, lungs, liver and facial skin have been removed illegally from several clones which investigators have discovered he had growing in laboratory conditions in the basement of his connecticut mansion. It becomes a news major item and the country is gripped with the story. staunchly, must face the moment of truth where in an emotional and gripping scene he gracefully decides that what he did was wrong and he willingly submits to the rule of the new law and undergoes the removal of his heart and it's re-implantation back into the clone he had in suspended animation whom clone doctors have now revived and are rehabilitating in full view of the media spectacle surrounding it. staunchly doolittle looks on from his iron lung and new mechanical heart but will be to his death ever confined to a room of life support machinery and once again must come to terms with a mortality that he had thought in vain he had beaten.
episode 13) the penalties for clandestinely growing clones in states of suspended animation and used for organ harvesting become too great for most and literally tens of millions of clones are emancipated from their states of suspended animation in basements throughout america. and the illegal organ harvesting practice is driven further underground.
episode 14) when the tens of millions of clones released instead turn out to be actually hundreds of millions of newly freed clones, the population of clones in the streets exceeds that of their originating counterparts and the clones, bred on adversity and victorious in war emerge as the leading class and we follow the tales of the originals who become second class citizens in their own land.
episode 15) little sandra and lucy are twins, her mother's ovum had been inseminated with half normal human sperm and half through a cloning procedure. Sandra is the original and lucy is the clone. When the two are involved in a school bus accident, sandra is pronounced brain dead and lucy is in critical condition suffering from massive internal hemorrhaging. The decision is made to have sandra's organs transplanted to lucy and we have the first case of the clone receiving the organ from the original.
End of season one. the problem is: since the imagination is a catalog of the real, these stories are now a true and accurate record of scenarios that will very definitely happen... probably sooner than later.
looks like i've gone and opened up another can of worms here...
