Well....because school is now back in for me, and because I'm carpooling with Mr. Early worker (Carlos) I now have TWO hours in the morning with little to do. Although I am certain it will be filled with homework later, for now I can keep up with my journal.
Lets see... Evelynne is doing great - the other day she painted her own nails BLUE!! Most of her fingers were also painted, along with her toy chest, a library book, and some of her art on her walls. Ah...that was fun.
She's now into what I call "ultra-girl" phase. Not only is the whole world glittery, pink and purple, and full of Barbies, but everything that Evelynne can do must be done by her, no matter how late mommy is going to be. (Let me take a moment to explain to the gentlemen that this is the beginning of "soft time" for girls)
And then there is the matter of all the babies that are on the way....My best friend has a healthy little girl now (she looks just like her mom - phew!). My sister was due on the fourth, but Aidan (my neo-natal nephew) was breech so they had to manually turn him (apparently very painful) and now we are waiting for labor to begin. Then there's my buddy Jan...she thinks she's fat but she's not (she's due in September with a girl) and she's relishing in every little aspect of pregnancy (heck...she has the right - she worked hard to get there!). And now, amongst it all, another good buddy ;of mine, Catherine, just found out she was expecting. HOORAY! Now I can get my infant fix without actually bearing another child (at least for a few years).
Of course Carlos, who claims not to like kids yet spends time with them willingly, appears to be less than exited. Secretly, I think he is exited, because he keeps asking all of these questions about pregnancy and infants which he claims is just curiosity. Oh well...I guess we'll just have to wait and see if he actually likes the babies (judging from how he was when he met Evelynne, I think he'll come around).
Well...that's all she wrote.
