3. Puri! Lite (
iTunes link)
The Good:
- Decent but limited selection of frames and stamps.
- Freehand drawing allows you to customize the pen’s fill colour and border colour.
- Colour selection (for typed text or freehand drawing) allows you to customize hue/saturation/value and opacity.
The Bad:
- No way to move a stamp to the topmost layer
- It automatically decides the orientation of the inserted photo, and there isn't a way to rotate it.
2. PhotoCard - SmileCat (
iTunes link)
The Good:
- Good selection of frames and amazing selection of stamps
- Allows you to rotate/resize/move your photo to fit within your selected frame
- Includes some unique fonts
- A lunar New Year-themed SmileCat app is also available for free here, on iTunes.
The Bad:
- Final decorated “photocard” is a square; doesn’t fill the iPhone’s screen
- Typed text is buggy. Line breaks occur in the middle of words and cuts off ends of sentences
- Sometimes frustrating to manipulate stamps
- Does not include freehand drawing
- Workspace shows ads
- Do not use this app if you hate cats
1. P.F. Love (

- Great selection of love-themed frames and stamps
- Frames are available in portrait and landscape mode
- The company behind P.F. Love has also made a free Christmas & lunar New Year-themed photobooth app. (iTunes link)
The Bad:
- Cannot manipulate an item once it’s been applied (except undo)
- Cannot type text, only stamp letters
