See ya July09, I'll never forget you :) Finally, a rest....
This entire month has been just a roller-coaster of crazy. Everything started when the basement flooded over at drakeduck and hegdish's place. We were laying on the couch together, enjoying some futurama, half falling asleep.... little did I know that seconds later our entire July would turn INSANE.
So the flood happened, then a week later us 3 had an amazing house mentioned in my previous post.
Then, AC rolls around, during one of the craziest times it possibly could have... and we had a wonderful weekend. I really did have a -great- time at Anthrocon... definitely will go down as one of my most memorable conventions. I obviously didn't do a post about it because... well.. I feel pretty done bothering with convention posts. Too much to remember when there's such a whirlwind of stuff happening. It was wonderful seeing everyone and spending time with so many exceptional people. Especially you. You know who you are :)
After that, we move. It feels like the moving has gone on forever, and it is just now finally almost over. Our house is really looking cozy, almost all of our stuff is here, and we're getting everything set up. Finally. Thank you so much to sephebonblade, fringefur, wingywoof, and seritaph for their amazing help with everything. We couldnt have done it without you guys.
So big weekend after AC was the big stuff move. The next weekend we continued to move and had some other stuff to do, along with Hegdish having to go out of town for a vacation with his mother (more bad timing!). Next weekend, we basically have to get the entire house in order, because all 3 (drake, heg, mine) families converged on our house for a "family party". Man was it stressful leading up to it.. but it actually went quite well and I'm ridiculously happy we got that out of the way :)
That sunday, codexrau came to visit us for a few days, which was very nice! Great getting to see you and know you a bit better! I definitely had a good time :)
In between all of this, almost each day has SOMETHING we had to accomplish on it. Our google calendar is just filled to the brim in July, with just about every single day having some sort of entry.
Then to top off all this insanity and stress, my work is changing things up BIGTIME, and I'm right in the middle of it. My location, duties, and all sorts of other things are changing DRASTICALLY and that adds about 2 tons to my accumilated stress weight.
So here we are now, the first weekend since June 19th that all 3 of us basically have nothing to do. Today was month end (probably worked harder today than ever before), and now that it's over, I have 2.5 days of STRAIGHT RELAXATION. My god I cannot wait. August isn't quite as hectic and full, but each weekend also has something going on, until the end is capped off by a 12 day trip to Europe for Eurofurence.
I'll never forget June 19th to September 7th. Probably the craziest period of my life thus-far (even though its not close to being done yet!).... it's been quite trying, mentally and physically, but it has also lead to a lot of amazing amazing things. I definitely have a lot more ahead of me as well.... with probably the best way to "cap things off" ever (Europe!)
Sorry this is such a rambling in all directions post... that's just how my mind has been due to all these events. And sorry to all I have been distant from as of late... that will hopefully be changing as I relax and finally ease my aching brain :)
