Ever been surrounded by people and just listened to their conversations instead of having your own? It can get very interesting.
My best friend Josh and I went to get ice cream Sunday night. On one side of us was a family with the parents and a couple of little girls, probably around 7 or 8 years old. On the other side were two maybe 14 or 15 year old girls. One of the little girls asked her mom why her ice cream melted, and her mom said "It must have just gotten too hot. It's fine."
Then, repeatedly, the other little girl asked "Hot in a sexy way?"
On the other side, part of the teenagers' conversation went like this: "I have a boyfriend now, I think."
"Really?"
"Yeah, but I had this dream where we were like running across a field and then he hugged me, but he was kinda choking me, and then he smacked my butt..." her voice faded out after that, but we'd heard more than enough. And this was just a small town ice cream shop. Imagine what people talk about in your town!
Also, I heard my new favorite quote on Supernatural this morning: "Always take your Christmas decorations down after New Year's or you might get filleted by a hooker from God."
