So I was shredding a pile of documents the other day, you know, the ones they send you in the mail that are already filled out for credit cards and are a bad idea to just throw out. So I'm feeding these things into the shredder and whatching them vanish slowly, just getting pulled into the void of the machine and then when you pull the top off its filled with fluffiness and the contrast of the flufiness and three-dimensionality of the shredded stuff and the planar flatness of the paper beforehand struck me as really fantastic. As though this little machine was transforming them. Which it is. It was endowing them with a third dimension- but the old meaning was lost. Same parts- new shapes, new meaning. and then I realized: I am an ArchiNERD!
and I'm ok with that.
thought I would share.
