Optimism
Ok, so i realized that I haven't updated since my less than perfect new years, so here goes.
Things have really been looking up lately in some aspects, I got a brand new car...a Kia Spectra 5. It's really awesome, looks like a Matrix but has more horespower and features. I am doing really well at work, they have offered me a couple of promotions and I think I will take one of them.
Jenna and I are doing great. We are taking on each day with new found happiness and optimism. There is a gray day in between here and there, but those are the ones that get you from one sunny day to the next.
I have been getting involved with an organization called Q cinema, a gay and lesbian film group. They asked me to model for their advertisments for the upcoming summer film festival, and it was lots of fun. Once i get a disc with the pics i will post some.
I have joined two soccer teams, one women's team and a co-ed team. I am thinking of dropping the co-ed team because the boys are mean and they don't pass the ball to the girls or talk to them. But the women's team is loads of fun, I am the goalie. I had a game last nite but I also had food poisoning. I was really out of it because of over-medicating and I actually picked up the ball outside of the goal box which caused a direct kick and resulted in the other team getting a goal. I was pissed, but was so out of it that it didnt really bother me all that much. I just felt like an idiot. Other than that, there were about 15-20 shots on goal and I blocked them all. Yay me. Oh, and i slide tackled so much that my knees started bleeding. Gross.
I have been considering going to this really nice culinary school in fort worth which is 2,000 dollars for the Pro Chef degree program. It's cheaper than 5000 dollars per semester at UTA that I can't pay for. Then again I am really close to finishing my degree in biology so I don't know what to do. But i dont have 15,000 to finish school. Conundrum.
I miss my corpus friends, and my friend in NYC. Dez, if you read this, when are you going down to Corpus for your sister's wedding? I shall plan a rendevouz that will mayhaps fall in this same week.
