So...I got to lunge the horses, this evening -first time, in two weeks, due to inclimate weather :( -
And...Bo*Berry has completely forgotten what "whoa" means -I was having to teach her, b/c she didn't know...so, I had to pull a dirty, and I still can not get BlackJack to reverse, to save my life. I have to tell him "Reverse" and walk him around (counterclockwise) myself, and as soon I take my hand off his cheek, he turns back around. Any ideas, or just gradually ease him into reversing?
Over all, they did really good. Bo*Berry barely breaks a sweat (I worked her for 45 minutes, fairly steady trotting, alternating with a few walking circles, revers, walk, trot...mostly trot) and BlackJack basically the same, forty fice minutes. He's the one that really needs the conditioning. Not to mention, the heat alone cause him to sweat, through in actually working, and he get's squishy wet. It's ok, tho. I'm jsut afraid he's going to drop weight (he is NOT an easy keeper, and is still kinda skinny) since he's sweating soo much. I'm going to put him back on the beet pulp, I think. anyways..that's all. Just a little update
