So, you're doing what many would insist is a bad, bad thing. You're sitting on your horse. Not really riding, just basically there. Every few minutes, you remind im you really are still there, by asking him to "walk" someplace and to "whoa" and expeting him to stay there,but, basically, you're just sitting there.
And you see his head comming around back, ears pinned, throwing his whole body into it (to bite), and the two immediate and simultaneous thoughts cross your brain: "Oh my god, this is going to hurt" and "wait a minute, what'd I do?!?!?"
And when you're about to bail off the other side, thinking "he's going to take a chunk out of my calf as I go" and still baffled as to this sudden and violent display -which by the way, is totally out of character-
His head comes back, over your left leg, at the same time he bends his butt around, and.....bites a fly that was on his rumpus.
Then, all is calm, and you breath a sigh of relief with the knowledge your horse wasnt' suddenly possessed by the Devil.
