i guess i really don't have a firm grip on how the whole summer hang outs are supposed to/going to work. while i understand that everyone thoroughly enjoys hanging out with a couple friends and not the whole gang (believe me - i usually highly prefer this), i don't understand how it works in the following circumstance. generally, when i talk about things i'm really looking forward to doing with people - in this instance, making tshirts - i kind of assume that this will occur with the other people who talked about making them with me. i don't mean to place blame or accuse anyone, and i am probably misreading the actual events, but it's really hurtful to see that a group of your friends spent the day doing the activity they said they would do with you, without ever having invited you to do it with them. seems like i didn't get the memo, or maybe i wasn't supposed to. either way, it's hurtful and leaves me feeling like i must have done something wrong to not deserve an invite. i understand that it's probably a miscommunication or a mistake, but it still makes me feel like it's hard to trust people when they say they're excited to make plans with me and then fail to include me in the activity when the time comes.

dinner tonight at acapulco's with the old soccer team should be great. hopefully fat city is open for milkshakes!
