It's been a while
I realize I haven't posted in a very long time. Things have been rather busy.
Jena and I are doing really well. Better and better, week by week. She's here almost every weekend, and I love her for it. :) We hang out a lot at our friend's new place. She makes me feel really good about myself, and I'm glad that I found her. I realize more and more how silly my thoughts were in the past.
In other news, I am employed! I'm working for Masana, LLC. It's a web development firm in Grand Haven, and I'm part of the starting group, so I'm considered a founder. (Can you say mad bonuses?) I'll be getting my first paycheck in a week or two, and I'm really excited. I'm going to set up a budget, and start saving for a few things.
There was talk last night about going to Amsterdam. I'd really like to travel, and I think it'd open my eyes to a lot more in life.
I've been playing quite a bit of chess lately. It's become a big thing to do at my friend's apartment. I've been teaching a new friend, Jody, how to play. She's catching on really well. She went from a complete n00b to a somewhat decent player in three days. The only things she needs to work on are the things that come with a lot of playing, so I'd say she's doing really well. There are a few more people that might be interested in learning, or improving their play, and I'm happy to help out. I think it just pounds those basics right back into my head.
