I really don't like posting fic in my personal journal, but, well, I wanted to write something, and here's where it ended up.

I think it's going to be the start of that AU. Because next comes the discovery of Prentiss being alive, and JJ and Hotch lying to him.

I'll watch, and I'll see if I need to write corrective fanfiction. Because I've decided Reid needs to work in a casino in Vegas, spotting card counters.

See, he can do that. In my mind, Aaron lives long, prospers, leaves the BAU on a nice retirement plan, and who knows what happens. I do know that if he stays and Spencer leaves, and he feels terrible? His drinking increases by tenfold because he feels terrible for what happened... and he visits Spencer once in Vegas.

And looking for cheaters in Vegas lets Reid use his FBI skills - it's a kind of profiling. And he could make good money doing it.

And he'd be close to his mom. So that's a good place for him to go. Even if it does leave a lot of guilt behind.
