I miss listening to Death Cab for Cutie. I miss listening to them before they were winning Grammys and on MTV. I miss them being Death Cab for Cutie, the band I could rely on to make me happy. The band most people (minus the internet and LJ) hadn't heard of. I miss not having to worry about hearing them on the radio.
So I'm a music snob along with a college snob. It's really not such a bad thing is it?
Summer has been fun and that's how it's supposed to be. I have the greatest/funniest swimsuit tan ever (I'm literally ten shades browner then I was on Friday morning!). I love sleepovers and watching The OC, which is possibly the quintessential summer show/summer place. I love the mall with friends and Sweet Sixteens (well I suppose I can't truly love this yet since it happens later in the week). I love random AIM conversations and reading "Charmed Thirds" in my bed in the middle of the afternoon (without having to worry about homework or tests or finals or newspaper or anything). I love watching cheesy Lifetime movies and The N. I love baking cupcakes at 10 in the morning and watching police helicopters fly around at 2 in the morning. At the moment, summer is perfect.
Now if only I could go to SF to see my hubby in July. Haha. So hopefully I can ride some roller coasters before I leave.
