In a World Like This
I had an amazing night on 08/30/13. Sure we had to wait outside the venue for about an hour for VIP check-in and it was hot as hell; we were sweating and make-up was running down our faces, but it was well worth it. Once we got inside and checked in, they led us to the stage area for the sound check party. Platinum VIP's got to stand right by the stage, then Gold were behind us, then Silver and Bronze VIP's. Sound check was fun. They sang some songs, joked around, and answered some questions the fans asked them. And AJ made fun of Miley Cyrus's VMA performance, which I totally appreciated!!!! After sound check was over, we got in line to do the meet & greet with them and take a photo. Platinum VIP's were the last ones to meet and greet because after everyone else left the area, we sat down and they instructed on us when and where to meet to go on stage for three songs. During the meet and greet, I got to hug each and every one of the Backstreet Boys. I think Kevin gives the best hugs. I told Kevin it was good to have him back in the group and he said thank you. They were all very nice and said it was nice to meet me. I gave them the bear that I made them at Build-a-Bear and they liked it. Nick said it was cool because he had a little bit of everything (a guitar, a microphone). Then we took a picture together. I was in the center between Nick and Kevin and Nick held my bear for the picture. Then I put the bear back in the box and handed it to AJ. After the meet and greet was over and they were leaving the stage area, I saw AJ walk out holding my bear. Aww!
The concert was really fun. They put on a great show. Great costume changes, awesome dance moves, and they sang all the songs I love! I was singing and dancing the whole time. The only time I sat down during the concert was when I was on stage for three songs. It was cool to sit that close to them while they were singing and it was cool to look out at the audience as I was singing along on stage with the Backstreet Boys! We got an autographed Backstreet Boys photo after the meet and greet and got a poster after our time on stage with them when we were leaving backstage and getting ready to go back into the audience. Then after the concert was over, there was the after party. Kevin, Nick, and Howie attended the after party. We waited in line for the meet & greet before the after party and took pics in groups of five. Luckily I knew two girls in my group! And I got to stand between Kevin and Howie for the picture. After the picture was taken, Kevin talked to me for a little bit before the next group came to get their picture taken with the boys. After meeting them, I definitely have to say Kevin is my favorite.... He gives the best hugs! And he's so sweet. And he remembered me from my picture on Twitter!!! I posted a picture of me on Twitter the day of the concert and tweeted it to the Backstreet Boys saying I'm getting ready to go to the concert! After we took the picture at the after party meet and greet, Kevin told me "I saw your tweet today. Of you getting ready to come to the show!" Haha I was like "Wow!" He remembered/recognized me from my picture on Twitter! So cool. I felt so special. The after party was so much fun. It was at the club at the venue and there was a bar and a little stage where they were singing and dancing and they pulled girls from the audience onto the stage to dance with them and said we can take photos with our camera. Kevin took my hand and pulled me to the stage and I got to dance with them and I took a picture with Nick and one with Howie on stage with my digital camera. It was a lot of fun. Drinks were strong too. It was awesome! I'm still in a daze!
I cannot wait until my meet & greet pictures are uploaded to their website. Once they are, I'm going to post a blog entry to my blog with pictures! I just hope that they turn out good and I won't be disappointed! <3
