I purchased tickets to the Backstreet Boys concert on August 30th when they went on sale on May 17th. My boyfriend offered to go with me to see them; he said he loves me that much! I met them at the Fan Event in Berlin on July 2nd, with a group picture - holy shit, was I nervous. But it was a dream come true, after 17 years of being a fan, and an experience I will always cherish. My goal is to see them again at the tour and get a single picture ... money is going to be a slight problem, though.

My all-time favorite is actually a triple-tie between "That's what she said", "Just to be close" and "Perfect Fan", but I also adore "More than that". Generally, I find myself going back to their old stuff time and time again. Off the new album, I like "Breathe" and "Trust me" best.

Were they nice? You met them this year? I am definitely going to be nervous myself!! What did you say to them?

I really like their older music as well. Love the first two albums. <3 I haven't heard anything off their new album yet except for "Permanent Stain" and "A World Like This". Is their new album good? I pre-ordered the 20th anniversary bundle off their website so I'll get it after the album comes out. I want to wait until I get it to listen to it, I don't wanna spoil it for myself. :-) lol.

They were incredibly nice, especially Kevin and Brian. Things happened rather quickly, there was hardly time for a chat and I was mega nervous. Other than a few shaky "Thank you"s and a "Great to have you back" to Kevin I didn't manage much.

I had already ordered the Japanese version before the bundle became available. Oh well. My Japanese CD arrived yesterday, my signed bundle supposedly mid of August. Like with every album, there are high's and low's. There are a few songs I don't like (yet) and a few I absolutely love. All in all, I'm glad this album doesn't tank for me as "Unbreakable" did.

That's awesome to hear! I'm going to be extremely nervous! I'm trying to think of things to say to them and practice them! lol.

And yeah, every CD has songs you'll love and songs that you won't like as much. Do you think the CD is gonig to be signed on the case or the plastic wrap? I didn't think about it until my boyfriend asked me today if I was going to open it and unwrap it and I figured it'd be retarded to autograph the plastic wrap and that I'd have to buy another copy if that was the case and he said, "well that's smart, that's good marketing!" lol

Haha, I've been practicing things to say for 17 years and it still didn't work out that way. It's okay though - I mostly remember their solid hand shakes and their eyes. A lot of people might shake your hand, but never actually look at you - they do.

Uhm, I got a signed version of Howie's solo album and that one was signed on the case. I don't think they'd ever do something like that on the wrap. O_o

I know a lot of people ask for hugs too and the guys are usually up for it, but I was way too nervous to put myself out there like that. All their handshakes are warm and firm, but Kevin surprised me the most by taking my hand in both of his and squeezing. Aww man, warm and fuzzy memories - and it's been not even a month!

Have tons of fun, then! It's a very precious memory to have...
Germany has no tour dates yet, but rumor has it that it might be January or February - hopefully I can repeat that experience then. Anyhow, I can't wait to keep up with the tour via the internets!

It was a fan event, very small and intimate venue. The sang four songs live, played four more off Kevins iPad and shown 10 minutes of the movie documentary, finishing off with a Q&A. So nope, I have no idea what the tour will look like.

Oh okay, I see. That must be what the "soundcheck party with Q&A" is in the description of the vip upgrades. I didn't know they had a documentary. Is that coming out?
