I don't think I've seen anyone post about this (if they have, I apologise, and please point me to the post!) but my concert's at the end of this month (squee!) and I was just wondering what I can be expecting. Do BSB go first? Do they do their whole duet thing first and then take turns afterwards? Can someone please lay out a set list or ( Read more... )

I went to the one in DC on Friday!

The opening is on Youtube (but don't click the one from nooneknowshit... too much screaming!) It was about 5 minutes and really whipped the crowd into a frenzy.

They opened by singing a cover of Coldplay's Viva La Vida. The rest of the concert was like 2 concerts in one. One group would sing, then the next group would sing. It was back-to-back, so there was very little down time. They didn't do "Don't Turn Out the Lights" until the end. They didn't do the full medley they had been doing on some of the tv appearances, but that was okay, because they did the full versions of the songs.

The people sitting near the stage need to be prepared. They do come out into the crowd! BSB brought ladies up on the stage once. (I would have peed all over myself. lol)

I enjoyed Jordin Sparks as the opening act, but didn't care much for Ashlyne Huff. I can't remember how long it lasted, but I think it was close to 2 hours for just the guys. There are some set lists online.

I went with my daughter. Her first concert experience was NKOTB when she was 4. (And that was 20 years ago!) We had seen BSB twice - once in 2001 and once last year. It did not disappoint. If I could afford to go again, I would! :)

Have fun!!! (Take your camera. They will let you take "non-professional" cameras in. No detachable lenses. They say no video, but honestly, how can they tell with cameras and cell phones these days. Considering the number of videos on youtube, I don't think they enforce that too much.)

You're very welcome.

I'm still overheated from Donnie Wahlberg ripping the t-shirt off his body! Have mercy! That made this 47-year-old, menopausal woman's night! lol

LOL. Sounds great. None of the BSBs do that, do they? The prudes! *g*

They didn't this time, but that didn't stop Nick & AJ from oozing sex appeal! ;)

(Howie is my favorite, but I lost track of the number of times I said "Have Mercy" when it came to Donnie & AJ. lol)

Jordin Sparks, is the opening act? The American Idol girl?

Yep. She was good. She's grown up since she won AI.

I've never heard her sing before, just recognized the name and was curious if I was thinking about the right person. Seems odd that she's an opening act, I thought she was more 'established' than that.
