10 personal canon facts about Bart Allen;
1. Bart doesn’t care about gender. He likes who he likes and that’s all that matters. It’s something he got from being in the future. Of course he’s picked up a couple of present day values but… the future ones made more sense so he stuck with them for the most part.
2. Other people cross-dress for justice. Bart just cross-dresses. Sometimes dresses and skirts are sometimes just better to wear, lighter and cooler in the hot weather. Practical.
3. Bart’s full name is Bart Moonshine Allen. Meloni wanted to call him Hurbert Moonshine Cactus Allen but Don was REALLY against this and suggested continuing the speedster tradition of naming your kids after other members of the family. When he died Meloni decided to name their child Bart because Don really wanted it. But she couldn’t resist keeping Moonshine as his middle name.
4. Bart’s dad is a bit of a dork. If he was alive he would be wearing Hawaiian shirts and socks with sandals. He has NO fashion sense what so ever, Dawn got it all. She picks out all their clothes (that’s why they wear the same things. XDXD). Also Don and Dawn where really, REALLY close. At their respective weddings Dawn was Don’s ‘Best Lady’ and Don was Dawn’s ‘Man of Honor.’
5. Bart always wished that Thad would become good and join his family, be his brother. Thad wasn’t REALLY bad, it wasn’t his fault that he’d been manipulated and made to think what he was doing was right. He was really sad about Thad running off into the Speed Storm. The Thad that had come back was…. different. Crazy. But he still couldn’t help wanting them to get along and be family. He wished that Wally and the others would understand this. In a strange way he loved Thad and really wanted the best for him. He REALLY wasn’t happy when he found out what Wally had done to Thad. And that Thad had died some time after.
(Also the Thad from the end of Mercury Falling and the Thad that killed Bart are two completely different people. When Thad was lost in the speed storm Thawne created a new clone {called Tad} who was more dangerous than Thad. Created to be insane and ruthless. Created to get the job done. Tad killed Bart. Not Thad. Thad is still lost in the speed storm. Which is actually really painful. [When he jumped into the Speed Storm Thad was trying to kill himself] )
6. Bart is actually glad he died. The Speed Force isn’t giving him grief anymore and he’s the right age again. It’s all cool. Yeah dying hurt like a bitch and he may not have come back to life but he did. There was no point getting all angsty about the past and the things that could have happened. He was alive now and he was going to live it up damn it. (The only thing he regrets about the whole thing is causing this friends and family so much pain and sadness. That was the worst thing in the world.)
7. Kon and Bart agree. Best thing about being dead was missing the Twilight thing. Crazy fangirls are really scary (scarier than any supervillian could hope to be.)
8. Bart went back to the hospital to get the remaining shards of his Impulse costume after the fight with Slade. He repaired the costume and still has it in a box somewhere. That costume was the only think he has from the future, it’s a physical reminder of his history and he just… can’t throw it out.
9. Bart hasn’t told anyone about Dox. He still considered Dox his best friend and he feels so guilty that he hasn’t told anyone about him. About how awesome he was. But he’s always really worried that people won’t understand that Dox and all the VR stuff was real for him. Dox was a real person for him. Not just some program, his best friend. He want people saying his childhood wasn’t real, his best friend wasn’t real.
10. Bart blamed himself for Kon’s death. It was HIS job to warn everyone that Superboy-Prime had escaped. If he had been just a little bit faster maybe he could have gotten there in time. That was part of the reason he isolated himself and declined Tim’s offer to join the Titans again. He couldn’t look at Tim and Cassie, knowing how much the lose of Kon hurt them. Knowing he could have stopped it.
