Take my pen knife, my good man
For dinner tonight, I had a can of Chunky Campbell's Beef Stew. (Delicious stuff, by the way.)
I started the meal by trying to use the built-in ring to take off the lid, but the ring came off my pudding stew can. I then tried using a can opener, but the lid was too recessed to be reached. I then tried using a knife around the edges of the lid, but metal doesn't cut metal very well. jstew then tried using the can opener as a hammer, but the lid still remained intact. Finally, John used his pocketknife to puncture a couple of holes in the lid, which released the lid and allowed me to get the deliciousness out of the can.
All of that work, just for a bowl of beef stew.
