For the third time in seven years, I'm in the States while Canada Day celebrations are going on north of the 49th parallel. I'm disappointed to not be up there, but my sister is visiting, so that's nice, at least. (And I'll get to see fireworks on Tuesday night.)
I don't have much to say, other than I'm very proud to be a Canadian and to have such a wonderful, beautiful, and safe country to live in. Not only that, but for the first time in years I have strong confidence in the government. Electing Stephen Harper has been one of the country's best moves in years; hopefully his government will hold on to power long enough to continue making some positive changes.
Anyways, from this guy who's spending his July 1st weekend in the land of monochromatic money and "Monday Night Football", have a happy Canada Day, everyone!
