[Naesala's face is looking more indignant and annoyed than ever, sitting on the observation deck with a feather swiveling between his fingers. One of his wings may or may not be awkwardly sticking out. Sothe really has no elegance at all when it comes to extra body parts. Once again his thieves' balance seems to have gone horribly awry]How is it

[The..stray wing kind of bends awkwardly, and he almost falls down in the process]

I've been "flying" with a laguz once before and that was more than enough.

[oliverplus]

[raises an eyebrow] Is that what he's called? And what do you mean? You got to fly! [having done it once himself, he can't believe how anybody could consider it anything less than awesome]

[backflipping]

Huh? Oh... yeah. Laguz. [he scowls for a minute which luckily Naesala's face is pretty used to, especially on this topic] Thrown off a cliff by the King of Hawks and caught at the very bottom. Yeah, flying is really great.

[oliverplus]

...what!? Why would he do that?

[backflipping]

[mumbled] Because birds hate me.

Let's just say they thought I made pretty good leverage.

Leverage for what!?

Hey uh...who is this, by the way?

... [grimace] For our Commander and Queen.

I'm Sothe. And I don't recognize that accent at all.

[oliverplus]

[frowns] You were a hostage?

Ah, yeah, you wouldn't. I'm the only Brummie on the ship! I don't think we've met; my name's Oliver. Normally I'd be about this height with dark hair that's way shorter.

[backflipping]

It's... a long story. That I'm not exactly fond of.

Brummie? What's that? [he makes a face. Oliver, he knows of an Oliver back home] I see. Well nice to meet you or whatever...despite [another attempt to move the wing which just knocks his balance again] this.

[oliverplus]

Hey, you don't have to share if you don't want to. But I'm sorry to hear that. [makes a face] I guess I can understand why you're not happy about this.

[Oliver realizes he probably should have explained that in the first place; if Sothe is from Naesala's world, he's obviously not from Earth. but maybe that's a good thing, considering what people usually think of Brummies] It just means I'm a person from Birmingham. Uh, that's the city where I used to live. [smiles fondly; he really does miss it]

[backflipping]

It's just a lot to say and I'm not one for talking. [snort] I'm not happy about taking over Naesala's body in general.

[but hearing about other worlds is an alright distraction] So, back in your world. Why would they need to distinguish you by city, isn't your country more important?

[oliverplus]

[he wants to ask more about that since Naesala's a friend of his, but he figures it's better not to pry with someone he doesn't really know yet]

Oh, most people distinguish themselves by country. I mean, we do, too, but...I don't know, mine's just that special, I guess! [grins] But really, a lot of big, important cities do that. Like, you mentioned my accent. Only people from Birmingham or the area near it have this accent. Doesn't that sort of thing happen in your world?

[backflipping]

Oh. [smirks lightly] Yeah, it sort of happens. Stuffy, obnoxious, upperclass people talk like Naesala, the poor talks like me.

...I have a Daein accent, I guess. That's my country.

[oliverplus]

[smiles faintly. it really is the same all around, isn't it?] Yeah, the stupid working class poor talk like I do. Or that's what most people assume, anyway!

Daein? That's a cool name!

[backflipping]

[nods] It's true, for the most part.

[But there's some national pride at Oliver's statement there] It's a good country.

[oliverplus]

[quirks an eyebrow, pouting slightly] It's not in our case. [he really gets tired of the "Brummies are dumb" stereotype]
