See, I just took matters into my own hands and filmed it. Considering it makes me squee and I have watched it over and over and over. :D
Obviously. Well, I mean, a Beatles musical is gonna get attention. So maybe she was forced to make it more audience friendly? I mean, the movie would so work with Max/Jude.
and if you think about it...lucy's just...a crutch. Jude needed her to deal with Max leaving etc. Jude only comes back when MAX calls for him...Max only lights up after he starts calling for Jude..and she leaves the ending ambiguous. The audience can assume that Jude/Lucy occurs...but its easy enough to assume it doesn't.
Yeah... Because Jude obviously is attracted to Lucy from the beginning on, but their actual relationship doesn't start till Max gets the draft. So maybe Jude like, tries to distract himself with Lucy instead, because she's a safe bet. Mmmm, I love theorising and plotting.
but here is the thing--I think Jude was attracted to the "idea" of Lucy--what she stood for. Not her herself. Same thing with Jude--Lucy never understood him, just was attracted to what he stood for--everything her old boyfriend wasn't.
...you think I'm kidding. Me and my best friend have been dying for this video. So we can watch over
and over
we really thing Julie Tamore WANTED to make an ode to homosexual love...but was hampered by teh evilz. So she just threw it in wherever she could.
like right here <3
