Somehow I remembered all of it. The coldness creeping inside me before I became frozen, a prisoner in my own body. Did it matter if I was even alive? Just a talking corpse for the world to see. Faith didn't care, she'd tossed me aside. Not even a part of her life. With the chips down she'd chosen Morrigan over me. No hesitation, no remorse. At least I hadn't made it easy on her, or Winifred, or even that bitch Buffy.
They didn't seem to care if it was indeed me in control or that being....the Wolf. Of course with Lilah's aid I would soon have my daughter returned to me. The rest of them could die for all I cared. They would die too, in a wave of horror I realized it. When my daughter was returned the Wolf would kill her. My sweet Morrigan would have her neck crushed like a saltine cracker before being dumped in a bowl of soup.
The sound of buzzing filled my ears and I stared at the window unable to move. Was any of this real? Coldly I felt for a phone on a nearby table. Picking it up a voice answered promptly.
"Sir?"
"I want the child found NOW." Snarling I paused a moment. A price would have to be paid for Faith's treasonous actions. "Bring a car. I'll be visiting the Hyperion."
"Very good sir." Setting the phone down I felt my bloodlust growing. They hadn't yet paid enough. They never could.
