Monday morning, Jaejoong woke up early without realizing that he was gradually changing his habits because of Changmin: he hadn't drunk himself to sleep the night before and had awakened Monday morning voluntarily. The first time since a long time because he was on vacation and there was no obligation to wake up very early.
He showered, brushed his teeth, put a pink shirt and white shorts.
"Daddy!" he shouted from the top of the stairs.
He saw that Changmin was alone downstairs, his sleek silhouette high leaning on a wall near the stairs, complemented immersed in admiring a beautiful colorful cupcake.
"Where is my father? You said he'd be back on Monday."
Changmin looked at him silent for a few seconds before sighing and climbing the stairs slowly while eating the cupcake. Jaejoong would say the cupcake took all the elegance he would have wearing a formal outfit.. "Your father called and said that he will not be able to come home for a while."
Jaejoong scoffed. It wasn't as if he could be surprised somehow. Dad was never there after all.
"Right," he muttered feeling the frustration growing inside him. He wanted to scream and tell his father that he didn't mind being alone in that huge mansion, playing video games or throwing his favorite baseball ball in the face of that hunky bodyguard. Most of it was true. Deep down he didn't know why he tried so hard to have a bit of attention from his father. It wasn't like his father would act loving and proud of him anyway. But those high walls full of glamorous portraits of boring landscapes and unknown ancestors was slowly closing around him, smothering him. Having that huge mansion just for him and the old servants of the house wasn't fun, but he couldn't just leave, hung out with his friends and have some fun. His father ordered him to be alone day after day that empty mansion. Only old, boring and very discreet employees and absurdly expensive furniture as his friends (?), like a prisioner. What was the name of that princess? Rapunzel? Jaejoong couldn't remember the end of the fairy tale, probably some tall, handsome and charming prince rescue the princess and then they would be happy forever, surrounded by love and cute woodland animals.
That night seemed like a dream. He went to that party, kissed a few guys - even that was just to piss off his bodyguard and to prove Yoochun's friends that he was okay. The memory was funny but there was something strange about it. It didn't seemed real at all. But only because there was only him and his non-professional bodyguard, he was allowed to breathe the night air of the city and go to a party for once. He might be grateful to the bodyguard, Changmin didn't know that was not allowed to leave his gilded cage?
Jaejoong felt stupid, he didn't have a shred of self-respect? His father kept him trapped in that big house but more important than freedom, he just wanted some attention, a bit of the feeling of being his father's son... the problem is that he didn't have any of those things now (freedom or the sensation - at least - of being a normal kid with a normal loving family, not just a art collection piece or something like that. He never had.
He wanted to scream and tell his dad that he didn't mind being alone in that huge mansion, playing video games or throwing his favorite baseball ball in the face of that hunky bodyguard. Most of it was true. He didn't mind being alone in that big house ... not always. He wanted that his father would be present, he wanted to talk to him, show the things that he was good. Sometimes he really didn't mind being alone... but something began to change when he was alone for longs periods of time. He started thinking too much ... and remember the times when Yoochun walked into his room secretly, opening the window that wasn't really locked.
Anyway, he was tired of playing video games and shoot the ball in Changmin's face wasn't the best of ideas after all. The previous day he had to spend three hours locked in his room for fear of retaliation since that tall guy was so pissed at him. Changmin was scary as fuck.
Suddenly his forehead hit something solid and warm. He looked up and saw Changmin so near that he could smell sweet cupcake on the lips of another (nice lips by the way). His heart beating a little faster, maybe because he was surprised by this sudden closeness... nothing more.
"What are you doing?" Jaejoong asked, a little annoyed, dodging Changmin and headed for his room.
Changmin mutered "I know how you feel, but ..."
"What do you know?" Jaejoong had his back to him, erect and tense posture, it was as if he were preparing for a fight. "You don't even know me!"
Changmin knew he shouldn't meddle in this, he should not care. The only thing that kept him close to that spoiled, aggressive and annoying kid was the salary he would receive for the safety of the boy. Nothing else. But for some reason he cared. Maybe it was the bitterness in the boy's voice. He was used to his sarcastic remarkes, his meaningless threats and his stupid laugh ... Changmin didn't like to hear that tone of voice, that bitterness chilled the day, he was suddenly a little sad without knowing why.
The problem is that Jaejoong was right. Changmin didn't know him very well, not really. Suddenly the irritation grew to alarming levels.
"But what is there for me to know, anyway? That you are a spoiled brat who has everything you wants but the daddy's attention?"
In a blink, Jaejoong turned to him, grabbed the collar of his shirt and threw him against the wall - he was strong that it seemed. Changmin's head hit the wall, but when he barely felt the pain. The bodyguard could expect anything coming from the pissed teenager cursing, screaming, punching, anything like this... but Jaejoong's reaction was more serious than he thought it would be. Almost scaring.
Jaejoong whispered looking into his eyes. "None of this is mine, not the walls, the furniture, the cars ... none of it is mine, not even my name, my body, my will, my days, my future, my thoughts and my feelings or anything ... what I have are memories that used to be happy but now only cause me pain.None of this is mine and not myself either. Everything belongs to my father. I'm just a pretty little bird trapped in a beautiful cage, being watched like a bandit, without the right to self-will, a piece of furniture. Do I have whatever I want? I thought because I have nothing, I could at least get some attention, feeling, reaction of the few people I know, but I'm still a ghost, an object. If not for Yunho and.... and my father, my world would be empty." Jaejoong dropped the collar of his shirt, suddenly he had no energy, holding back tears with reddened eyes and feeling his throat tighten, it was hard to breathe. "Forget it." He walked away down the hall, "You know nothing, just another employee."
Just another employee... Why It hurts to hear it?
Changmin didn't know what to do, none of it seemed to make sense. They had gone to a party that night, right? Jaejoong flirted with a lot of people he could remember. Just fragment of that memory made him so angry. 'I thought those guys - he could only remember two names' Junsu' and 'Top' were his friends.'
Something was wrong.
Changmin went downstairs and called Yunho. Not knowing of the existence of that boy was his mistake from the beginning, if you want to protect someone, you need to know that someone. Yunho was that best friend who knew Jaejoong as well as himself was a inexhaustible source of information.
The boy on the other side of the phone line seemed only slightly annoyed. Before the bodyguard told him anything, he murmured, surprisingly rude (something that Changmin didn't expect from him, because when Jaejoong was around Yunho was really sweet as a cupcake) "What is it? Jaejoong scratched your car or something like that?" Yeah, Jaejoong would be that childish.
Changmin snorted. "I would not call you by something as stupid as that." He probably would punish the brat somehow. "I need some information about Jaejoong, that's it."
"And why do you think I'll say something to you?"
Changmin rolled his eyes. Really? Yunho was going to play this game?
He would deny to himself, but Changmin wasn't stupid enough to not see the truth. He sighed and said "I know Yunho."
"What?"
"I know."
Yunho scoffed. "What re you talking about?"
"I know what you feel and I'm going up the stairs in a heartbeat to tell him what you two are both refusing to see."
Yunho hesitated, he knew what Changmin was talking, but he couldn't admit that aloud. Saying that aloud made it all real. His feelings. It was scaring.
"Jaejoong was right about you, Changmin shi, are you insane."
Maybe he was exaggerating a bit. He barely knew Yunho and yet he was forcing the boy in that predicament. Changmin could be condemned to hell for this, but now there was no turning back. Besides, he was getting this immense curiosity when it came that brat. Jaejoong was more deep than he would assume by judging his usual childish behavior.
The bodyguard sighed and ran a hand over his face, suddenly tired. He shouldn't have accepted that job, he could no longer act for himself. "Look Yunho, I just want some information."
"Whatever, what you want to know?"
Going straight to the point for the first time. Good.
"I'm just a little confused by some things he said to me ..."
"Yeah?" Yunho's voice wasn't wholly disinterested, in fact, he seemed only slightly annoyed by the curiosity of Changmin, as if his patience was fast running out. Why that bodyguard was so interested in that boy in the first place?
"I mean..." Another sigh. Why suddenly seemed so difficult to talk about Jaejoong? Changmin was beginning to feel anxious, but he didn't know why. "He told me he doesn't know many people besides his father, and that is because of this that he wanted a little attention from his father. But ... it doesn't make sense...
"Why not?" Yunho asked in a low voice, finally showing a little less cranky.
"We wente that party, remember? He flirted with so many guys and he called them by their names and I thought ... and I thought ..."
"You thought he was a whore or something?"
"No! Not like this ..." The thought was more disturbing than Changmin would admit. "I thought they were all his friends, he seemed so popular. So why he told me that he is alone? He said 'If not for Yunho and my father, my world would be empty.' After seeing him arund so much people that party, why he told me that he's no friends? I was... just wondering."
Yunho murmured "Jaejoong has no friends... all those guys you saw at that party was Yooc... someonelse's friends. I think acting like that he just wanted to piss you off and prove to himself he was okay."
"What you mean?" the bodyguard asked unable to prevent himself to want to knoe more about that boy. Really... why are you so interested in him? Are you his psychologist or something?"
"I just want to understand him! We...we... fight all the time... and it is difficult to me..."
"Okay... He was in a relationship some months ago.And those guys at that party are friends of that peron who was with him. Don't be so hard on him, someone broke is heart."
'He was trying to prove something to the others or to himself? It was so weird that someone as pretty, young and rich as Jaejoong has self-steem problems.
"Is that enough?" Yunho said.
"I'm only trying to do my job." Lame excuse.
"It doesn't really sound like it, you know that?" He knew. "Your job is take care of his safety, nothing more. I handle the rest."
"By the way" " Changmin replied "you don't seem to be doing a good job."
Changmin knew he was being unfair, but the other was pissng him off with his accurate remarks.
"Changmin-shi, you know my secret... maybe the only person stupid enought to not notice my feelings." Except Jaejoong itself anyone could see the way Yunho looked at him. "Maybe I'm being like this because I am jealous , but I think you should think a little more on your actual function instead of investigating his personal problems, it doesn't sound like curiosity, this sounds like genuine interest if yuo ask me. Stop it, you're just a bodyguard."
'You're just a bodyguard.'
Changmin didn't like the way it sounds. "You are righ Yunho, don't get me wrong. I am just trying to do my job."
"Are you sure?" Yunho asked quietly. The question Changmin was trying to avoid. He shouldn't have called the best friend of his boss's kid, it wasn't his job, why he was doing that?
"This isn't you problem."
Yunho scoffed and Changmin hung up. It was Yunho's problem because Yunho was... well... Yunho was in love with Jaejoong. Changmin would be worried if his crush/ love/ whatever was being stalked by a bodyguard too.
"He's stupid...." Changmin murmured to the empty kitchen, watching the sun rays enter stealthily through the spaces between the sheer curtains. If Yunho was really in love with that spoiled brat he should act accordingl, not letting Jaejoong kiss all those guys at that damn party.
Changmin couldn't understand how it was to live alone ... in a place like that. Jaejoong looked like the spoiled kid who could have whatever he wished it, but really, it was not like reality. Changmin wondered why he had to show those people he was okay, what that meant.
He did not want to see Jaejoong being bitter again, he had hated that tone.
There must be something he could do for the kid no matter the fact that they hated each other.
"What can I do?" He muttered. "As everyone likes to say, I'm just a bodyguard."
------------
Jaejoong tried to resist, but that damn tall guy was much stronger than he, and his long, thin fingers marked the pale skin of his wrist. Why was he being so rudely dragged?
Changmin stopped outside the house when Jaejoong realized his intention, he started trying to pull away.
"I'm not going to climb that thing!"
"C'mon!"
"Let me go!"
Changmin ignored his desperate protests and put Jaejoong's body on the horse.
"You are trying to forge my death!?"
"Hey Princess, I didn't know you were afraid of horses. Don't be ridiculous, they are probably nicer and smarter than you anyways."
Jaejoong huffed, hands clenched on the reins. "Why would I want to ride a horse, you idiot? I know how to drive!"
"Aish, is that why I don't like spoiled brats. You have this huge mansion and this property, but you don't even give attention to your horses, they feel alone did you know? You can make them a lot happier if you give them some attention."
"Yah! I live here alone and I am perfectly happy without attention!"
"You're lying." Changmin smiled without realizing.
"Whatever, put me down!"
"C'mon Jaejoongie, this is your horse!"
JAEJOONGIE? Where'd it come from?
"This horse is not mine, it belongs to my father! Get me outta here RIGHT-FUCKING-NOW"
The bodyguard ignored his protests and rode the same horse by holding his waist. Jaejoong stopped reacting. Changmin's big hands were on his waist, was enough to make his mind go blank.
“Princess, are you okay?”
Jaejoong nodded. “Y-yeah…HEY, STOP CALLING ME A PRINCESS! I AM A MAN! I have DICK! D-I-C-K! "
Changmin laughed. "Oh princess, I don’t know whether I should believe you, I may have to check for myself ...."
"Oh, how dare you ..." Jaejoong tried to keep up with Changmin, but almost fell from the horse. The problem is that he was terrified, he couldn't move. Changmin took this opportunity to took the reins and began to lead the horse slowly. They were riding the same horse. The swing hip horse moving bodies sensually.
Each step of the horse slipped their bodies closer, and Jaejoong realized that it didn't matter that he was riding a damn horse, his fear had been blunted by the feeling of having Changmin's body pressed into his back, moving sensually. Boner.
"What are you trying to do?" Whispered the boy.
Changmin licked the side of his neck and said in his ear, "I was trying to teach you to ride a horse, but it seems you're not listening to me ..."
Changmin led the horse to the far side of the property, and Jaejoong couldn't help but wonder what they would be doing since they could do whatever they wanted not afraid of being caught. 'I must resist!' He couldnt forget what Changmin had done on previous days: called him a "brat", dumped him alone with the fucking boner, and then spanking him on his ass like he was a naughty boy in a demeaning way.
He broke a twig with his hands as he watched his bodyguard stroking his horse's mane.
Jaejoong was jealous of the horse. 'So he is kind to the horse but rude to me?' He thought.
"Why did you bring me here, stupid bear?"
Stupid Bear, I mean, Changmin departed from the horse and sat on the fence, Jaejoong pulled away a little alarmed. "You're afraid that I will touch you?" He laughed.
Jaejoong didn't respond.
"Don’t be afraid, princess, you're just a kid. How old are you? 15?"
"I'm almost 19 and go fuck yourself."
Changmin laughed.
"And I ALREADY SAID I AM A GUY! STOP CALLING ME A PRINCESS YOU SASSY BODYGUARD!"
The bodyguard came down the fence and walked slowly like a panther. Jaejoong stepped back, not wanting to, but feeling insecure. The way Changmin looked at his eyes and moved slowly toward him was seriously messing with his equilibrium. His back touched the trunk of a tree, he had nowhere to escape. Changmin grabbed his chin and whispered really close "Honey, I told you I don’t know if I believe you. I really need to check if this is true... you know because you're so pretty" Before he could react, Changmin slipped his hand inside his shorts and grabbed his dick.
Jaejoong gasped. He couldn't believe it was really happening. It wasn't possible... Changmin with his big hands in his dick, moist lips on his neck... was impossible to contain a moan. Resisting with all his strength, he remembered the humiliation his bodyguard leaving him in bed calling him brat. His blood boiled with anger and he pushed Changmin running towards the horse, climbed into the cell and began to ride like a maniac, scaring the horse with its urgency.
Changmin was terrified, tried to reach the brat, but couldn't prevent him from reaching the horse. "Jaejoong! Come DOWN! YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO RIDE! "
But it was too late.
--------
The light from the ceiling of the room was very bright and Jaejoong blinked a few times before you can get used to. He tried to get up, but his leg was heavy. He sat up, confused.
"What the f ...." his leg was in a cast and had bandages on his right arm.
"Are you okay?" Changmin said, approaching.
Jaejoong was surprised when he looked at Changmin, almost unrecognizable with his dirty clothes and serious face. "Are you okay?"
Changmin said nothing, just looked at him for a moment before lowering his head and stare his own hands.
"Yah! Changmin!? What happened?"
Changmin didn’t answer.
"CHANGMIN ARE YOU DEAF?"
Changmin didn’t answer.
"I HATE being ignored!"
Suddenly Changmin got up and threw the lamp on the wall. Jaejoong sat up immediately, scared.
"WHAT YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING, YOU FUCKING BRAT!? YOU WERE TRYING TO KILL YOURSELF? YOU HAVE NO BRAIN? OR WAS TRYING TO FUCK ME!? NEXT TIME, WHY DON'T YOU DIE!? FOR REAL!?" Changmin shouted enraged than ever.
"Changmin..." Jaejoong muttered before seeing his bodyguard leaving the room and slamming the door.
----------
Changmin ran down the stairs and sat on the floor of the porch, finally releasing the tears that burned his eyes from the moment he saw Jaejoong fall off the horse. That STUPID boy!
His hands were shaking, and he still felt the sweat running down his back. He had been so frightened that he felt that his heart would stop beating. He relived the minutes had checked if Jaejoong was alive all the time muttering "no no no no, God, no," desperately.
He looked so fragile and precious. Changmin couldn’t stop crying. Jaejoong would have died and it was his fault.
-------------
The phone started ringing, Jaejoong had to get out of bed to answer. "Son of a bitch," he muttered. Why that stupid bear had not left his phone near the bed?
"Hey Joongie!"
"Daddy!"
"Changmin said you got hurt, are you okay?"
"Yes, but-"
"That's great, honey, Daddy called to say that because of our negotiations unforeseen I'll have to stay out for a while longer. You understand your dad, right? Take care! " Sr. Kim hung up the phone.
"WHAT KIND OF FATHER YOU ARE!?"
Jaejoong wanted to cry. Yoochun was gone. Changmin hated him for some reason. Not even his father cared for him.
Joining forces, he took the crutches and left the room with difficulty. He needed some wine.
-------------------
Jaejoong was drinking the third bottle while waiting Yunho. He had called him more than about half hour ago, sitting on the first rung of the stairs.
The stairs had so many rungs that he had no strength to climb without help. And he wasn't willing to ask for help for the stupid bear, wherever he was.
Speaking on the devil...
"What the fuck is that!?"
Changmin could hardly believe what he saw. That enjuried brat was sitting on the stairs drinking the wine he stole from his father's cellar.. again.
Jaejoong sighed. "Wine. Want some? "
"You stole the cellar of your dad again?I can't believe! Even with this injured leg!? If you can do that with a broken leg then you can do something useful for once too! But no! You are a degenerate drunk, that's what you are!"
"Shut up, you stupid bear! You're Nobody! You hear me!? I hate you!"
"I hate you too!"
"I hate you more!"
"I hate you EVEN more!" Changmin knew it was just so childish but coudn't stop himself, because everytime Jaejoong was around he lost control over himself.
"Fine!"
"FINE!!!"
Yunho arrived at this point, asking if Jaejoong was okay and helping him to stand up.
"Yunho ah! I'm so tired! I need help, you help me to take a shower? "
"Yes, yes, of course." Yunho replied too worried to listen to him anyways.
"Yah, Yunho-shi, do me a favor, drown him in the bathtub!" Shouted Changmin, jealous.
Jaejoong was sitting on the edge ogf the bathtub, Yunho was behind him rubbing shampoo on his head.
He was chewing his irritation, a little tipsy but not really drunk - he was a good drinker. "Then he started yelling at me and call me stupid! Can you believe it? Who does he think he is? He's just an employee! A bad employee! He told me to DIE! I Can you believe!? I hate him, I really hate him!"
Yunho didn’t answered.
"Yunho ah ..." Jaejoong whimpered.
"What?"
"Why does he hate me?"
Yunho smiled. "This is really important to you? You just said you hate him."
Jaejoong said nothing.
"Do you like him?"
"Yes! No! I mean... It's complicated it is... When he's around, I get so pissed ... but .. my heart ... I don't know.."
"…pumping fast? It is hard to breathe? You can't think sometimes you just wants... need to do something but..."
"Yunho...?"
"N-Nevermind."
Jaejoong hesitated, curious to know how Yunho could be so vague and precise at the same time.
"Y-yah! Yunho are you pulling my hair!"
"Oh, Jae, I-I'm sorry!"
Jae has forgotten what he would ask.
-----------
Changmin was walking from one side to the other in the kitchen, restlessly. His will was kick Yunho out of that house. But why? Well, probably because Yunho would protect that brat from him when Changmin wanted to hit his pretty ass with a strap to teach him some discipline.
"What I am thinking!?" He murmured. Spanking Jaejoong was in his Turn On List.
That didn't mean that everyone was like Changmin that would have a hard time to prevent themselfs of touching that brat if that brat was naked in front of them.
Yunho was just the best friend, nothing sexual could result in there, right?
Changmin threw the cup on the wall. "I'm going crazy ...."
A phone rang and he answered without realizing that he was talking on Jaejoong's mobile.
"Joongie?" A deep voice asked.
"No." Changmin said, still angry.
"Who are you? Oh, I must have dialed the wrong number, sorry. "
"Who is Joongie?" Changmin asked "Are you talking about Jaejoong, is it?"
"Oh, yes! My name is Yoo-"
"He's taking a bath with his friend, call him another time." Changmin said and hung up abruptly.
“Bathing or having sex, I don’t care!” He lied to himself.
--------------
Yunho was aware of the presence of Changmin behind the door, spying.
Jaejoong mumbled, his endless litany. "Why doesn’t anyone understand me Yunho ah?"
Yunho thought 'How about me?'
He should be grateful. There was nothing wrong with their relationship. He had seen his best friend trying and failing with others, but the confidence, respect and mutual affection between them only grew, there was nothing else for which he could ask for.
"Jaejoongie ..."
"What?"
"Please can you please open your legs?"
Changmin made a noise of a surprise a little high, Yunho noticed. So what? That bodyguard was like the others, only a creepy man. Jaejoong was too pretty for his own good.
Jaejoong smiled mischievously. "Like that?"
Yunho remembered when he was a kid, finding that his interest in best friend was more than a simple interest. He wasn't only thinking what Jaejoong was cool, and funny but also he couldn't get that beauty out of his mind no matter how hard he tried.
See the naked body of Jaejoong - who liked to chat with while showering - had become almost as routine and something he was used to, but secretly, shamefully, it was his favorite moments.
"Yes, yes, I must wash your private parts, right?" The taller boy smiled.
Suddenly the bathroom door opened with a jerk.
"Go back to home, Jung Yunho." The bodyguard said "I'll finish it."
"What?"
