Looking at things differently

When people say "you're great" I think I am just lucky. See, we all start out innocent and ignorant. Then we learn things from our environment. We learn a lot from our parents and the people who are with us the most. From them, we learn how to act and we often pick up their qualities. So those people who are exposed to corruption and maliciousness learn that. I was lucky enough to learn how to love and be loved before those things. It is harder to learn the opposite of something after you have been exposed to it for such a long time. Sure, we also learn from our experiences and there are times when we have to make our own decisions, but those decisions are based on everything that we have previously experienced or learned. Everything that has happened in our life is reflected in every decision we make, or every action we take. So really, I consider myself very lucky to have experienced everything in my life and have the family that I have. I am also lucky to have such wonderful friends. I have learned so much from them. Really, we are all just parts of everyone else around us. Remember learning the emergent properties in biology (one thing I remembered)? *You are greater than the sum of your parts. These are just thoughts, let me know if you have any input, I am interested to know.

I would not consider myself a great person, I would just consider myself lucky.
