Don’t worry about it…

The other day, when I found out that I had a speech that I had to give that I did not know about I was seriously just about to say “whatever” to it. But in difference I decided that I was going to step up the notch and give it from the heart. So I got dressed up in my suit and prepared a type of speech that I have never done before. She wanted a full manuscript. So I typed it out on someone that I did not really get to know. Went to her and told her about my mom, and surprisingly she replied, “is she okay? You know what, don’t worry about it. Everything is going to be okay, don’t worry about your grades, you’ll do just fine, and you don’t have to make anything up.” I was in sheer shock, and replied, “Well, I need you to sign this, because my ministry plans on going to the General Youth Conference, but I would have to take the final early.” She said, “Don’t worry; of course I’ll sign that.” That just made my day.
Yesterday, I took the paper to the Academic Dean, and once again explained my situation, and he said, “Well, just take a seat, and let me give you a little lecture.” I was like oh great, not good… until he said, “we decided that if your speech teacher signed it, we couldn’t say no.” Than he went to tell me that he was working for the past 15 years here and that only 3 people have requested to leave early for mission orientated things. And it’s really hard to say no, than I teased him and told him that I was getting ready to quote some text and SOP if need be. I later found out that he graduated from PUC and he is also best friends with one of the pastors that I know in Arizona…ha-ha, Adventist small world.
So I just got my plane ticket, and for all of you who care, I will be leaving for California at 9:15 Monday, December 13 from Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and will be stopping by in Las Vegas, NV. I have never been to that airport. See you soon…
That just made my day. Now I need to study…

So until next time…

PS - it’s good to know that you finally got the letter. SP
