Dorito

This past Sabbath my friend invited me to the Keene Spanish Church. I guess he was going to introduce me to his youth group. He's the student pastor there, and he asked me to help out with Bible studies. So I went. Its definitely a different atmosphere when you don't understand anything. And yet you have all this knowledge about the Bible and you want to tell them. I made me realize that I really need to learn Tagalog, Kapapangan (again), and learn Spanish. I was very humbled. I stayed through the service and was constantly trying to hear the message but the translator thing that they gave me kept cutting out. I was able to sing the songs though I didn't know what I was singing. When I discovered what it was saying, I was more impressed with the songs sung there than most churches.
After the service I cooked rice and veggie dogs. I'm poor and I figured I needed to eat them cause I bought them. It was either that or oatmeal, and I have oatmeal nearly everyday...after that I just have a few things that I did...
Read two chapters in Patriarchs and Prophets.
Read a lot of Psalms today. Got to 105. It was a little interesting, I was talking to jillyn21 and we've been reading the Bible through and for some reason both of us had stopped at Psalm 105. Since we haven't been keeping on track as we should, it was just weird.
So later after dinner (and sundown) I decided to go to target because I forgot a few things when I was in the area the other day. So I invited this person who is consistently calling me "Torpedo" and a few other people. Well on the drive there said it and my friend and I hear her call me "dorito." It was fun. May be if I remember I'll post pictures later. We also stopped at Jamba Juice and met this one guy on the street and talked with him about the Bible. I got really hammered down. This week has honestly got to be one of the worst weeks of my life here at Southwestern. Constantly I have just been getting persecuted. The only way I can look at it is that I have to be doing something right for Christ.
Afterwards I was able to talk with my friend and he told me to just keep up with it. I told him that I was so close to just giving up this week, that I wondered why here? why Southwestern? I should have just stayed at PUC. Or I should have never gone home this summer. I should have...
But after much prayer I told him that Christ availed in my life and I was thoroughly humbled. So praise be to God.

So until next time...
