Devils Night
Growing up in Detroit, the night before Halloweens was/is called Devils Night.
I remember growing up and curfew being at like 6PM for almost a week or something ridiculous like that. I literally remember crouching behing cars to avoid gang squad (sounds way more hard core than it was).
Anyway, there would be HUNDREDS of fires on this night among a host of other police/fire involvement. It really was a huge issue. It was tramatic, but still....
Anyway, I only thought about this because I just realized that it was Devils Night. It was such a big deal growing up and the only reason i even thought about it was because I realized tomorrow was Halloween.
