i loved this weekend. as nice as it was to get away from walla walla, 4 days away really made it feel like home for me. Seeing my friends settled into their respective colleges, giving me the tour, going about their routines.....it made this whole transition seem more real and final. haha, it was the best homecoming ever. me, rosie, kari and gia pretty much sprinted out of nick's car, threw our stuff in our rooms and made it to the dining hall before 7 for a good ol' jewett feast. i ate so fast....it was awesome. we only stopped to give big bear hugs to the "pitties" who'd been stuck at whitman all weekend. i missed those girls so much. oddly enough i unpacked completely and cleaned my room right after. i love my room. it's small, but it serves its purpose. i guess the fact that we don't have a TV, microwave or fridge gets us out of the room to socialize more. right now a bunch of girls are hall-sitting and chatting (while i'm being cool and updating my LJ, of course....) so yeah, in a nutshell, portland's a cool town. it was so nice to see, megan, adam, ali and spencer and spending quality time in our own awesome ways....special thanks to my drivers and hosts, peanut butter balls await you all....
