I've been meaning to read this series for ages but I'm always in a hurry and this isn't a piece of drabble you can read through quickly before going to work. But today was my day off so I made it my goal to read it and I did and I loved it!
You write beautifully and really captured every single character's behavior and manner of speaking and thoughts perfectly. I loved how the core was about Alex and Danielle but you also dealt with everyone else on the side. It was exciting to come to parts with my favorite characters (Sawyer, Kate, Juliet :D) but it was also great to read about characters that I'm normally not that interested in, characters that I never pursue fics about. The interaction between everyone was fascinating as was the portrayal of things that aren't seen on the show like Claire breastfeeding Aaron and Kate helping her out.
You can see you've really put thought into this, it's very realistic and believable. I want to be as passionate about my fics too, normally I just write snippets of moments. I loved how you built

Thanks so much for sticking with this - I know it's a bit of a task to read! I'm so glad you liked it, and especially the more idiosyncratic parts. It was a challenge (and a highly enjoyable one) to write about characters who normally don't stimulate my muse (Locke, Hurley, Claire); I'm very happy that that worked in both directions.
I was reading the part about Jack and I was just amazed how you turned everything upside down - him not thinking as highly of Alex as everyone else.I'm really glad that worked for you - I was unsure as to how people would respond to it, but as I was trying to think of how Jack would perceive her (at least initially), given the context of his reactions to various Others and Losties after his captivity, that was really what stuck in my mind. It's probably a rather unpopular avenue of him to explore, but it felt necessary here, given his emotional/mental state

I've just finished "All That You Can't Leave Behind" and loved it to tiny little bitty pieces. I adore how you show the ways Danielle's not quite okay yet, if she ever will be (and yet not as crazy as everyone seems to think), and how so many things are new to Alex. I loved Sayid and Claire and Alex's worries about sex (that felt so true on several levels) and how very proud of Alex Danielle is (and how much she sees Robert in her, sob). And all the parts with their French family. It's exactly the fic I needed to read--thank you!
