Happy SHINee-versary everyone! :D
***NO KEY...JUST ONE YEAR, NOT TWO :D***
This is honor of SHINee's first anniversary [and because Syohyunnie told me to~ :D]
Has it already been one year since debut? How time flies so quickly! It didn't seem that long ago that Minho had a normal nose, Onew had teeth, Taemin had a bowl cut, 'Key' was a household object, and Jonghyun was just a fag~
[Ok, half of those things actually weren't that long ago...but still... :D]
Honestly, when our dongsaeng Victoria spazzed out to us about Lee Soo Man's new boy band, I was totally unphased. Who was Shiny? SHINee?? Why should I listen to them? I practically lived and breathed Sapphire Blue Super Junior during those days, and I wasn't really concerned about some new group. And why should I be? Hangeng-ge was all that I had ever needed...right??
Hahaha, I was so wrong...
I remember giving them a try...and then it kind of died...
I mean, "Noona, You're So Pretty"??? What the hell? These kids not much older than us were hitting on older women?? and again...WHAT THE HELL?!? I don't think Taemin was even 15 at that point! [Well...maybe in Korea, but I'm talking about over here...]
At first, I tried judging them just by sound. Back when I was a helpless noob who was hated by technology [my iTunes had died on me D: ], I asked Lily to put stuff on my iPod, and SHINee was just one of the artists that had happened to find it's way on there. I thought 'Oh hey, these are those new guys that Victoria told us about...maybe I'll listen to them..."
And so all night long, SHINee was playing from my little iPod Nano, being imprinted onto my brain. The most memorable song for me was "Love Like Oxygen", and Lily even had the lyrics that said whose line was whose.
After listening for about the millionth time, I thought my favorite was Key...and then I watched the video.
I had to start all over again...I didn't really like Key...
I didn't like any of them... -__-"
The whole time, I was wondering who was who again, while complaining over each member.
What's with the guys wearing super tight, shiny, metallic pants?? What the hell was with Taemin's swooshy hair?? Had he been standing in front of a fan or something? Last time I checked, pink was for girls Key [oh how wrong I was there XD]. Minho was really random, and he had really big eyes...he kind of made me feel weird... :\ Who the hell was the fag in the GOLD jacket and pants?! He was weird...his nose was funny, and he had way too much camera-time. I didn't really get a good look at the other members, and Jonghyun was bugging me. Not to mention I had trouble telling him apart from Key...only by colors was I able to...[how on earth could I have ever gotten them confused?!?! ;o; ]
I actually didn't mind Onew. He was the only one that seemed remotely normal to me, and he had a nice voice...
But their music wasn't like anything I had listened to before...it was just so...different to me....
I DON'T KNOW WHY THE HELL I WAS SO PICKY WITH SHINee!!! Honestly, when Lily had told me to pick a favorite from Super Junior off of a small picture, I honestly just pointed at Hangeng and said "that one" after watching "U" only like, three times...and now look how far I've come in Hangeng fandom...no wait...don't look...it's really scary actually... o__O"

I think I have a nose fettish...?? @__@ Really, when I had picked Hangeng, the first thing I realized was "He has a big nose..."
Well...not necessarily big compared to some...but it was just there, you know? And now, I find it endearing ^^
Jonghyun's nose............ ^^; The right side is a little uneven with the left, and his nostrils can flare pretty big, but it's something that I've come to love, and can't live without.
Some features just make people who they are~
His nose...his smile...that random freckle on his collarbone...All just pieces of a complex puzzle - Kim Jonghyun~ :D
But...back to before when I was a picky fag who didn't know what I was missing, I secretly liked Jonghyun...just something about him bothered me.
I think I was afraid of liking him, only to have him taken by one of my friends...that's why I always feel awkward picking favorite members. I mean, we didn't really know who they were [not literally...I just mean what kind of personality each member had...], and there was always room for change. Then the dust settled, and it seemed that everyone was satisfied...but with who??
I never asked who had finally picked who as their favorite, but I started investigating the story behind Kim Jonghyun...found that he was featured in ZHANG LIYIN's album "I Will" in the song "Wrongly Given Love" [who I knew for featuring Hangeng and Siwon in "Timeless", "I Will", and "The Left Shore of Happiness]... Then, I found out that "혜야" ["Hyeya" - Jonghyun's solo] was actually "Y Si Fuera Ella" [a SPANISH song...ironically :3] redone.
**And another conspiracy? WE'RE BOTH THE SHORTEST XD**
Conspiracies started to pile up all around me...was this fate? :|
Then I discovered that Jonghyun was in fact the only member that hadn't been claimed, and it seemed that my life just got a little bit brighter. <3
ANYWAYS...I keep rambling about my biased Bling Bling Jonghyun fandom...back to SHINee?? XD
I realized, they were all a lot prettier than I had thought [especially after watching "누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)" ;3]
"A.MI.GO." ..."Forever or Never"..."Juliette"...
They all kill me a little inside~ :D
But speaking of "Juliette" ...WHAT THE EFFING SIWON MAN?!?!
First of all...I love the song, so don't get me wrong... ^^ The lyrics are beautiful [not to mention written by none other than Jonghyun~ <3], but what the *$^% were their stylists thinking?!?! Their other outfits seemed to flow pretty smoothly....what the shiz happened here?? o__O;
I hate their stylists with all of the depth of the soul in my eye and would love nothing more than to send rabid pandas on them and watch :D
[But I find it really ironic that we have to read Romeo and Juliet in English right now XD]

It's only been ONE YEAR and SHINee has already come such a long way since debut! Being able to see them [even if it was for only two songs] at the Hollywood Bowl was amazing! There should be an "SMTOWN IN LOS ANGELES" :3
I am proud to admit that SHINee has captivated me - heart and soul - and I will always love them dearly. They are such an inspiration to me, especially for being so new and being able to accomplish so much in such a short time... [ok, maybe 365 days isn't that little time...but that's beyond the point... :D]
and to the boys:
샤이니! 你們 好! I am so proud of everything you guys have done! Fighting against smoking, saving the Earth...and being amazing dancers and singers at the same time~! [Not to mention great people :D <3]
Tofu-leader Onew...don't hurt yourself anymore, ok? ^^;
Flaming Charisma Minho...your nose was fine the way it was, but we still love you just the same <3 [there I go with noses again o__o" ...I'm still confused...was the surgery real after all??]
Almighty Key...as the responsible oemma, keep everyone in line~ :3
The Beloved Maknae Taemin [who is only 5 months older than me ^^] ...don't turn sexy on us too fast...you'll make Julia faint~ <3
and last but definitely not least, Bling Bling Jonghyun...please smack your stylist for screwing with your pretty hair~ :D You will always have a special place in my heart <333
