The first time they had met was at the basketball court; the one near both of their schools. They didn’t go to the same school, one had a black uniform; the other had white. If they had gone to the same school; they would have met much sooner.
They hadn’t met in a casual way, or even in a nice way. Ryo had openly insulted the other, calling him a freak and a girly boy; a princess. Ueda had been insulted and had shouted back. In the end, they had a basketball match to settle things. Needless to say, it had resulted in a draw, which didn’t settle anything.
They ended up having sex in Ryo’s car. It had been rough, unclean, and altogether dirty; but it was the beginning of their relationship.
After that, it was an unwritten code to meet every day at that basketball park, near both of their schools. Everyday was filled with insults, and some of them ended up in sex in various places.
They weren’t together in any way; no, it was merely a thing to pass time.
“Ryo?” Ueda asked, leaning on the other’s shoulder. “Do you mind if I do this?”
“Not really,” he said, but he didn’t smile. Not even a casual lift of his lips that would reassure the princess. But still, Ueda continued leaning on Ryo, enjoying the scenery of the basketball court that had done so much.
This didn’t mean they were together; Ryo still had his casual flings at school and he wasn’t going to give it up for Ueda.
The girl leaned on him, “Ryo, do you mind if I do this?”
Why did she ask the same question as Ueda? He pondered, but he shook his head,
”No, go ahead.”
Somehow…it just felt different.
This didn’t mean that he loved the princess though; it was just a passing thing. Nothing to worry about; not that he’ll ever fall in love.
“Wow, Ryo! Look, it’s snow!” The other shouted, pointing a mittened hand toward the sky.
Ryo smiled; looking upward toward the black abyss of the sky.
“Achoo!” The other sneezed and started shaking.
Ryo gave a casual smirk and walked over to the other, draping his arm around him.
“Careful, don’t get sick.”
That had been Christmas Eve, the day that couples spent together.
But still, they weren’t together. It was merely a passing thing. He wouldn’t fall in love; especially not with Ueda.
He was passing by a store when he caught sight of a special Valentine that’ll be perfect for the princess. He ended up buying it. And no, it wasn’t out of love, it was simply out of courtesy and the fact that the princess would love the Valentine.
“Wow! Ryo thanks. Let’s eat it together.”
He couldn’t help but smile at the other’s happiness; somehow it made something in his heart feel weird, it made him happy.
“What? But I bought it for you, you should only eat it!”
“We should share! That way, the feeling lasts longer.” And with that, Ueda popped a white chocolate in his mouth and proceeded to share.
By kissing him.
They had ended up having sex in Ryo’s apartment again; with kisses and cuddling in the end. Which is bad, because Ryo just doesn’t do that; he wasn’t supposed to fall in love.
But he was falling in love; even if it was just a little. Because every time he saw the princess smile, or laugh, or cry, or any other humane emotion, he felt something grow in his heart. And what else could it be besides love?
On White’s Day, the last day of school, they had again met up at the basketball court.
“Ryo, happy White’s Day!” The princess beamed him a smile, handing him a small wrapped up bag of chocolate.
Ryo took it, smiling back, and proceeded to open it. It was the same chocolate that he had gotten Ueda; something that must have been hard to find.
“You know what…let’s share again.”
And they proceeded to do that by kissing once again. And they ended up having sex in Ryo’s apartment again, with cuddling afterward.
“Ryo? I’m going on a trip.”
“What? Can’t this wait till tomorrow?” The other complained, nuzzling into Ueda.
“No. I’m leaving tomorrow.”
The other blinked; completely awake now. “Why? How long?”
“I’m going to Kyoto to visit my family…for at least two weeks.”
“Oh, okay,” was his response and he nuzzled into the other. “Call me when you get back…”
He hadn’t thought that those two weeks would be that hard, that painful, that lonely. He felt as if he had a hole in his heart, something that could never be healed.
“Ryo! I can’t believe you!”
Ryo jumped; he had been cheating on Ueda with another girl, just for anything, anything, to fill that loneliness in his heart. He hadn’t thought that the princess would come back early and see him on a date with the other girl. He had even seen them kiss. Something that should have been only meant for the princess.
“No, Ueda, wait!”
Ueda had run away crying, and after that, he refused to pick up any of Ryo’s calls.
Basically he had disappeared forever.
After that, there was no one to meet him at the basketball court. No one to have sex with. No one that he could claim that he had fallen in love with.
“Ryo!”
It had been just another normal day; he had been sitting at the bench in the basketball court where they always met, something he had been doing for two months now.
“Princess?” he asked, tears nearly falling; it couldn’t be him could it?
“I can’t believe it,” the other muttered walking over to the other. “You’re waiting for me?”
Ryo blushed; he didn’t want to be frank, he didn’t want to be embarrassing, but he had no choice. He nodded and gave a smile, “Waiting for only you. And no one else.”
They ended up having sex at Ryo’s apartment once again; filled with cuddles and sweet-nothings for the rest of the night.
But the difference was,
“I love love love love love you princess.”
“Whaat?” the other stuttered and then recollected himself, “love you too…”
And it was that difference that had brought them together; it was something that was extraordinary, something that Ryo could never stop saying. He did love the princess, now more than anything else in his life.
“Ueda, you mean so much to me…”
“Ryo! Stop saying that, you’re making me blush,” and the other nuzzled into his chest.
“But you do!” the other teased, and they ended up having sex for the second time that day.
Now they were together; it wasn’t something to pass time, it was something that made time more enjoyable.
And all Ryo wanted to do was stop time and let them last together like this; in love.
It had all started in a basketball court, near their schools as something to pass the time, but it had ended up as something much much more.
It was a little something called love.
