Number 1

Kat-tun was sitting in their break room, idly passing time away until they were called to practice for the next Shounen Club recording. Kame was sleeping on Jin’s lap while Jin had fallen asleep sitting upright, Junno was playing a new video game, and Koki and Maru were practicing their beatboxing.
And Ueda was idly flipping the pages of the new BOAO magazine, sitting with his legs crossed and his back against the couch Junno was sitting on.
He was just getting bored of seeing the same old, same old on the magazine pages when he came across the new Ryo pictures and his mouth dropped open.
The hell!? Why was -
But before he could tell the other Kat-tun members, someone poked their head into the break room behind the door.
“Ueda?”
Speak of the devil…
He froze; blinking and unsure how to answer. After all, it was Ryo that was asking for him.
“Ueda?” the voice repeated and without waiting for an answer, he strode in only to see Ueda staring with his mouth open.
He walked over, “You know it’s only good manners to answer when someone calls for you.” He peered down at Ueda with authority.
Ueda finally looked up (no point in stalling anymore), “What if I don’t want to answer?”
Ryo let out a long-suffering sigh.
That drama queen, mused Ueda.
“Okay, okay, just listen to me. I know it’s not probable and against all reason for such a Sexy Osaka man to -”
“Just spit it out!” spat Ueda, his cheeks pink. He couldn’t take another insult from the Osaka man.
“Well…”
There was a pause, then,
“IthinkI’minlovewithyou.”
Another pause.
“What?” Ueda bewilderedly asked, looking upward at Ryo.
Ryo blushed, looking this way and that, and all together looking like he wished he never came in.
“I think I love you.”
This time Ueda didn’t answer, just staring open-mouthed in shock at Ryo.
A second passed.
Then a minute.
“Well,” Ryo began awkwardly, beginning to realize he wouldn’t get a response from the other.
“If you won’t respond now, I’ll continue telling you I love you until you admit you love me too,” he finished indignantly.
Without waiting for a response from the stunned princess, the Osaka man strode out of the room.
“What the hell was that?” murmured Ueda.

Number 2

After singing, dancing, and practicing for the next Shounen Club for hours, all thoughts of the prior confession had been wiped from his mind.
That was until he saw Ryo at the entrance of the studio.
It had started raining throughout the day and it was still raining presently.
That explained why Ryo was awkwardly holding an umbrella and looking like he was waiting for someone.
When he came close enough for Ryo to say something, the other sneered, “About time princess. What were you doing? Packing up all your make-up? Not like it’s going to help you look-wise.”
Ueda let out a sigh and tried to get past Ryo.
Who cares if he didn’t have an umbrella? He rather walk home then -
But before he could walk into the pouring rain a warm hand grabbed his.
“Look,” Ryo blushed, “Tatusya, I’m sorry, I mean, well…”
He blinked, before turning to face Ryo.
“Like, well, it’s raining and everything even though I don’t have my car but I have my umbrella and it beats -”
“Sure.”
“walking home - what? Umm, okay, sure - you should have said so earlier,” huffed Ryo.
Normally, Ueda would have bristled at the derogatory comment but he was slowly learning that was just the way Ryo acted in embarrassment.
The two had been walking in the rain for awhile, with Ryo holding up the umbrella, when Ryo spoke up.
“Ueda, I think I might really love you.”
Ueda just nodded in agreement, he might just start to believe that Ryo really loved him. That he might not just be doing this to make fun of him.
He might just believe Ryo.

After Ryo had dropped him off in the subway, he was lucky enough to find a seat during rush hour.
But now, thanks to rush hour, the subway car was packed and he could hardly breathe.
He was tired, half-dead, and all together wanting to go to sleep when his phone vibrated.
What?
He tiredly pulled out his phone and opened it, seeing the notification that he had one new text message.
Who could have possibly texted him?
Quickly pressing a few buttons, he was soon reading it.

He pressed the send button, never wondering why he felt better than he had in months.

It had past a week since Ryo’s last confession in person (Ryo had been sent to Osaka with Kanjani8 for a huge performance) but the both of them still texted each other every day. And Ryo never failed to put his “P.S. I love you” at the end of every text.
And Ueda was tempted every time to text “I love you” back, but he still couldn’t trust the other.
After all, Ryo might be treating this as a joke and showing Kanjani8 all of their texts.
He walked into the Kat-tun break room when he saw a certain Osaka man.
Jin was cheerfully talking to the short man, but when they heard Ueda coming in they both turned to look at the princess.
There was a pause and then, “Ueda! Look who’s here to say hi?” Jin called cheerfully.
Ueda blinked before walking over, “Ryo? I thought you were coming back tomorrow.”
Ryo blushed before boldly announcing, “Maybe I just couldn’t stay away from the one I love.” And he wrapped his arms around the princess.
Ueda just smiled against the other’s chest before replying simply,
“I missed you.”
Because that was better than saying, “I love you.”

Ueda was sitting alone inside Kat-tun’s break room, staring blankly at the slutty pictures of Ryo in the BOAO magazine, wondering how could such a Sexy Osaka man love him?
Well sure, the other had proved he loved him, but a part of his heart still made him hold back from telling his feelings.
He still believed that this was part of a huge joke Ryo was playing on him.
His phone vibrated.
He brightened; he loved Ryo’s texts.
He took out his phone and flipped it open, and blinked in surprise; it wasn’t from Ryo?

He needed some water.
And just as he was passing through the hallway to get to the vending machine, he ran into Ryo.
“Ryo?”
The other brightened.
“Hey Tatsuya! I would stay and chat but I really have to go before the manager chews me out.”
Ueda smiled, “Sure. I’ll text you later.”
Ryo smiled back at him. And just as he reached the end of the hallway, he stopped and turned to face the princess.
“Oh, almost forgot. Love you Tatsuya!” And with a wave good-bye, Ryo disappeared around the corner.
Ueda blushed.
Maybe Koyama really was telling the truth.

When he was done with that, he closed off all the lights in his apartment, and crawled under the covers.
And just as he was drifting off, his phone vibrated.

He blinked stupidly at the phone for awhile before sitting up with a start and scrambling blindly for the light switch and flipping it on. And then he stumbled toward the door and flung it open.
And there was Ryo, panting and flushed; looking that he had ran all the way to his apartment.
“Ryo?” he asked.
Ryo didn’t answer, instead pushing past him and letting himself inside the apartment, shutting the door behind him.
“Ryo?” Ueda asked again.
Ryo looked at him for a long moment before answering.
“Did you mean it? That text?”
He blushed and then nodded.
And as he did, Ryo kissed him full on the lips passionately, wrapping his arms around the princess.
And when it broke, Ryo was above him, his eyes full of love and his lips curled up in a smile.
“Say it.”
“What?”
“Say it. That you love me.”
He blushed.
“I love you.”
And he did.
He meant every word.
He had fallen in love with Ryo Nishikido.
And then they were kissing and falling onto his bed.
“I’m glad I confessed to you,” whispered Ryo, holding onto the princess.
Ueda smiled, pressing his face against Ryo’s chest.
“I’m glad you did too.”
And they spent the rest of the night saying sweet nothings to each other and cuddling all-night.
