A group of investigative journalists accidentally score a controversial scoop when they find a twenty-year old boy claiming to be the son of the late famous director, Lino Brocka. Featured in the film are the works, friends, and co-filmmakers of the late National Artist for film.
"Ang Anak ni Brocka" is a fitting tribute to a great artist. It's also a priceless document that preserves a brief but shining moment in the Philippine cinema." --THE MANILA TIMES
I just fell in love with this film. As a finalist of CinemaOne Originals, and a great work from Sigfreid Barros-Sanchez, i give this docu 5 stars and a two thumbs up! As I grew up, I never really had the chance to witness Lino Brocka. (he died in '91. I was 7 years old then) But I have been a big fan of his films. My all time favorite "Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang" (oh my, Christopher de Leon is HOT! hahaha), "Ano ang Kulay ng Mukha ng Diyos", and "Insiang" tops my list. I was never familiar with Lino Brocka's life and achievements, until I watched this documentary.
And now, I want and am proud to say, na Isa rin ako sa anak ni Brocka.
And Paolo
