well, today was my last day of work at Via Lago for...well, in theory a really really long time...
donna said she wouldn't take me off the payroll or say goodbye because this wasn't goodbye, and that i'd be back at least by december break cause i'll need money...
...and she's probably right.
but, pretending that i really WAS never going to return to that Via by the Lago, it was...mixed feeling-ic.
-sad, because there are many people that i'll prolly not see often anymore, or just at all for a while.
-good, because...ell...im not working at that fuckin place anymore. 5 years? that's bullshit ricockulous (ridiculous?)
-easy, while going out with a bang coulda been entertainingly interesting...today was possibly one of the easiest days ever. i practically stood around all day, instead of making sandwhiches, i covered for manny in the kitchen and made all the hot food...then i had the best fucking lunch break of my life, courtesy of Ms. Selena Lane...and for those who haven't tried it, drink green tea out of a wine glass...i felt spectacularly important. =) ...then we sold 25 dinners...do you know how slow that is? well, we sold 32, but 7 were take out orders (which we don't count) of which 3 were to an employee who can eat Joyce (aka, Butch at work) so that makes 4 take out.....so...stupid details no one but we understand, but 25 dinners? geez...i cleaned up and packed up by 7:45.
oh well...going out with ease was nice.
i will miss people there.
