It's getting a little too close to home now...
(In an email sent to all students from the veep for student affairs)
"At about 3:30 Sunday morning (daylight savings time), according to a witness report about
15 minutes later, a white male shot a pistol into the air near the front of Brown Hall.
The shot was not aimed at a person or object, and no one was injured. The witness reported
that the man left the area immediately after.
Police immediately began searching for the suspect and increased patrols in the area last
night. They are remaining extra vigilant as they continue the investigation.
The person with the gun was described as follows: a white male, 5'10" to 6' tall of
college age with a gray Northface jacket and gray or dark sweat pants. He had a sweatshirt
hood or cap without a brim pulled over his head."
While this is pretty serious, it makes me laugh that they try to describe him as wearing a Northface jacket. About 70% of the douchebag male population here wear Northface jackets.
Guess it's about time to sign up for the emergency text messaging system, although I'm not too fond of the university having my cell phone number.
