Omega & uni students
I'm a wee bit too busy at the moment to really sim, but we have a semester break next week so I'm sure I can fit something in then.
That aside, before I start playing Omega/12 I need to decide if Luna and/or Tabitha Omega should go to university. A few things to consider:
I'm splitting students up between two Dorms, and spacing their updates so that the format is families, dorm A, families, dorm B, new week. Each dorm has 5 rooms, so I don't want more than 3 playables per dorm. Until there are more dorms, that's a max of 6 uni-attending students at once. Even then, I'm sure I don't ever want more students than that because uni is kinda really boring.
So here's my dilemna. Jessica Hark and her boyfriend, Ray, are attending Uni. They're in Dorm B, since their root family is in the second half of households. Jessica needs Uni to get her LTW career, and really I just want Ray there so I can mess around with him.
If Luna and Tabitha go, they're in Dorm A, in the first half of households. But. Luna and Tabitha have LTWs that do not require a degree: business and celebrity chef.
- They are already in their designated career paths, so any career-boost from uni will be irrelevant as they'll get promoted when they age up anyways.
- They're twins, so if one goes - so does the other.
- But, if they don't go, they become adults on Day 4/thursday. Which is ~3 days of lost independant adulthood. That isn't really a problem because a) Luna is lot heir, and b) Tabitha has borked genes, so she's not having any offspring.
So I'm leaning towards not sending them. Besids Jessica and Ray, there are no others who are attending uni in Week 12, and only 2/3 who are in Week 13. But at the same time, I'm kind of like, "aw" because it'd be fun to have plenty of uni kids. But uni is boring.
