new years day... that means college football [entry still in progress]
This entry is not going to be all about college football, if u guys want to avoid it, skip the first two paragraphs
AH what a great college football season. for all those naysayers that said that cal was better than texas.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. like i have said all season, cal would not be in the rose bowl, and was worse than texas. Lets look at the facts: cal beat one ranked team, number 22 ranked arizona state, while losing to numnber 23 ranked texas tech by 14. Yes, Texas tech, the same team that TEXAS beat by 30! Texas on the other hand not only beat Texas tech, but also beat top twenty Texas A and M,and number 13 Michigan. Ok, now u cal fans, u might say wait! we only lost to the number one team, USC, by 6, let me tell u something, UCLA only lost to them by 5, and stanford only lost to them by 3.
And about usc, i personally believe that they are the worst of the three undefeated teams, the others being Oklahoma and Auburn. no, it is not beacuse i am a bruin that i say that they are the worst, its just because look at how they play. they do not know how to put away a game, and their victories are too close. lets see, who have they beaten that are ranked, Virgina tech( yea they are decent, but have 2 loses tho to weak teams), Cal(hah. already been discussed. they will drop out of the top five guarenteed, and if justice is served, out of the top ten), Arizona state(they suck, losing to crappy Arizona). Oklahoma on the other hand beat number 5 texas, which proved itself a great football team,texas a and m, also a great football team, and texas tech, which pretty much destroyed cal. Auburn should be the best of them all, its undefeated season came from the most powerful football conference of this season, the SEC. It beat number 15 tennessee twice, number 8 georgia, and number 12 LSU. In my opinion it should be Auburn, Oklahoma then USC as the top three, further cemeting the fact that cal should not be ranked above texas. Now u ask, y do i "hate" cal. i dont hate them, i mean cmon i almost went there, its just that certain people from that school had been giving me grief about my own school's football program, and to all of u guys i give u guys a big "I TOLD YOU SO" btw, overall, our record against cal is 47-26-1. just some food for thought. one more thing, plenty of other people not related to any of the schools mentioned gave me grief for my opinions also, and to u, i give u a big laaaaaaaaaame.
Now on to other things besides football.
so ya, yesterday was new years eve. i would like to note that i did not have a bad time at AJs, nor did i find it boring. we didnt say that it would be "entertaining," we didnt say that we would sit around and chat, we didnt say that we wouldnt play cards. WE just said that there would be a gathering at his hosue and people were free to come. it should be noted that we did sit around for a while before we started cards and no one talked to us, which is why we left and played cards. i dont care if you were upset that we were playing cards instead of sitting around in a non-talkative circle watching jackass, we did our thing and u guys did yours. we never promised your enjoyment, so dont blame us for it. we were not being anti-social, you guys just sat there next to each other, without the slightest effort to move or talk to the other side of the room. our leaving to play cards was our own effort to atleast entertain ourselves...
