My trip to Denmark May 2008
My bedroom
One of the best things about being at your grandmother's is that she always has fresh fruit and freshly baked bread. When I was younger me and my cousins used to pick the tiny little strawberries in her garden, they were so sour and yumm.
Photo collage mostly made up of my two cousins, Lea and Lykke, and my sister, Ella, and I.
The woman herself!! So cute.
Her chair. Before my Morfar died they used to have matching ones next to eachother that they would constantly sit in and do crosswords and drink coffee and eat biscuits, but my Mormor didn't like seeing the empty chair after he'd gone, so she sold it for something like £1000, aparently it's a collectable.
My mama's old room which is now the sewing room.
Antiques fair in the centre of Copenhagen
Nyhavn:
Museum, can't remember it's name now:
Lovely lunch in Grete's courtyard
Classic Danish clogs outside Grete's apartment
Grete's apartment, I LOVE it and based my room at home in London on it (white floorboards & walls, small trinkets, florals..)
Where my mama used to live with her boyfriend, Kent. It's in a part of CPH called 'The West End'. Now her old best friend, Lorna, lives there. When my mama went to study in London Kent and Lorna got together, and later on in life preceeded to get married and have three kids. They are now divorced and she has MS so she's in a wheelchair the whole time. I hate to say it but... Karma...
We didn't stay there very long cause my mama was worried that she might bump into Lorna
Some of the manymanymany bikes! Made me reaaally want to get a bike, I especially liked the pink or cream oldfashioned models, with baskets in the front. Some girls (I'm guessing) had even wound fake flowers into their baskets and it looks so romantic.
