This is a reply to the "comment" on my last entry!
I am the lazy one! Please, I beg to differ! You would never understand how much effort i put into raising my children to be independent and fully satisfied with life! Laziness is an everyday part of our worlds thinking. Laziness is giving my kid the breast just because i don't feel like taking 5 minutes to try to find out the real problem. Contrary to popular beliefs...every time a baby cries doesn't mean it needs my breast in their face. I wonder why our country is so over weight...hmmm?? maybe because everyone solves problems with food aka breast!! So please don't call me lazy. My kids are on a schedule and love it that way! The love knowing where the boundries are and love knowing what they can and can't do and knowing they have freedom with in the right boundries! Lazyness is allowing your kids to eat sleep and scream when ever they feel like it...because heaven forbid you get off the couch to give them healthy eating habits or healthy sleeping habits or to even disipline them! So say you do get off the couch to do things for them. Then i bet you are they kind that belive you should do everything for them...have fun wipping their nose when they are 18. It really is ok to teach kids to go to sleep when they are tired or to eat when they are hungry and to discipline when they are wrong! I hope one day everyone realizes that. Our world might be a bit less self centered!
Torture...come on now! You are calling my parenting method torture and you have no idea how i go about this. Have you read the babywise book. If so...read it again, you obviously missed the key elements! FYI...crying for a little bit never hurt a baby! When my kids are hungry i feed them, when they need to be held i hold them. HOWEVER i don't do it 24/7 like a lot of people think i should! My kids are bright happy and extreamly smart. I would only be stunting them to hold them and feed them 24/7. They would never learn to do anything for themselves...i would be doing it all for them!
Thanks for responding and if you don't agree with this method of parenting why don't you form your own community and bond with other believers like yourself! It is much more fulfulling to talk with people who agree with you then to just bash others!
