I need a refresher course...

Okay, my Munchkee is a little over two weeks old and she is doing awesome on a 3 hour schedule. Until today. I lost my babywise book a while ago I ordered a new one that hasn't arrived yet. So, I need a refresher on the 45 minute intruder. What are the main causes? I know a low milk supply is one, but I pumped 4 ounces today and gave it to her ( Read more... )

I have hard feelings towards abusers. Ezzo is abuse and it's overly PC crud to try to "not hurt feelings" to put it otherwise. I don't believe Jesus would want us to treat our children in this way, no matter how nicey nicey you want to put it to make yourself feel better.

You are ingoring the facts about Ezzo.......widely discredited, kicked of Maranatha publishings roster because his practices are dangerous, the fact that children have died because parents followed that book. You can go on and on about how "happy!" your child is, but if just ONE child has died because of this horrific book, what doesn't that get through to your head?

You can look a lot of places other than the internet to get this information. If the internet is so suspect, why are you here havign a nice little mommy discussion about it? Either the internet is credible or its not. You can't play it both ways to suit your guilty concience.

I have a hard time believing that parents who willingly chose to ignore the facts about Gary Ezzo and Babywise love their kids more than they love themselves. Selfish parenting is hard to face. I'm not surprised that no one can admit to it.

I just have to comment on this. Who are you to assume we are abusing our children? I hate to say this, but I am going to. Anyone that STARVED their child to death b/c they were too STUPID to respond to their babies HUNGER cry needs help. Ezzo never tells you to make your child wait to eat. He says if your baby seems hungry earlier then FEED him/her and adjust the eat/play/sleep routine. My baby is in the 90th percentile for height and weight. Does that seem like abuse? He can be held by anyone b/c he is friendly and happy. He loves his room and his crib and isn't afraid of it. He is contented. Thanks to babywise. I cannot stand it when baby-wearing moms get on tangents about scheduling a baby. At least I don't have to carry my baby around in a Baby Bjorn all day and my child is happier b/c he is confident in his routine.

I understand. You are bitter b/c your children (if you have any, run your life. It's ok. I forgive you.
