pregnant with my first; choosing a carrier
I'm almost 14 weeks along with my first and I am looking for carrier recommendations. I can already feel the baby every day, and it was really squirmy on the ultrasound last week, so I won't be surprised if this kid is really squirmy when it's on the outside. When I wear a messenger bag across my body, I have to keep switching sides as it hurts my back when loaded (I overload pocketbooks, and it ends up being the weight of a newborn), so I don't think a ring sling is a good idea. We don't live in an area with a selection of baby stores, so I don't anticipate being able to try them out before ordering. We don't have a lot of money, so I'd like to buy as few as possible and have them last as long as possible. My husband is about 5'7" and 120#. I'm about 5'4"and 180# with a large bust and very short waisted. We do a lot of long walks with our dog (2-6 miles) when the weather is good. We don't live in an area where a stroller makes sense (we're out in the woods).
