Based on the principle that the ideal number of carriers to own is n+1, where n=the number of carriers you currently own.
I'm pregnant with #2, and am undecided whether I want to get a stretchy wrap or not. I sold my plain black Moby recently, and currently use a combination of woven (Girasol light rainbow ♥) and wrap conversion mei tai (made from Hopp Miami, recently dyed purple). I loved a stretchy for a newborn, but am wondering whether or not I'd be better off just using the Girasol, since it will only be a few months before I think I'd want to upgrade to woven anyway. Plus I'm not using the rainbow anywhere near enough, so it would be nice to show it off some!!
That said, I'm seriously loving the Moby owl deisgn.
Considerations:
* More wraps = more good (see first paragraph)
* I will be going to lots of mother and baby/toddler groups when on maternity leave and it's nice to be able to show off the benefits of babywearing to other mums without crossing the line into barefootcrunchyvegan territory (not that there's anything wrong there, but I live in a military area and army wives don't tend to do crunchy!)
* Money? Meh, I can sell the Moby afterwards and make a small loss.
* I will probably be wearing newborn and using a stroller for toddler, who will be 2.5 when baby arrives, but I'm not ruling out the possibility of tandem wearing! Though see point #2.
* Moby is probably more DH-friendly. He 'doesn't do wraps' but the Moby is more forgiving on his shoddy wrap attempts!
