Help me pick a carrier please! (SSC or Mei Tai)

I really hoped I'd have found my perfect carrier by now but I'm not QUITE there. Daughter is 20 months and very up-down. She still enjoys being carried, but not always for long at a time unless she's sleepy. I would wrap her, but wrapping just isn't worth the effort these days when she wants to come down every 15 minutes.  This makes me sad because I have just bought a Girasol rainbow and I am so in love with it, but have hardly used it!

I love my MT, but it's getting too small for her and the sleep hood no longer supports her head. I want to love my Beco Butterfly 2 but I hate how I can't put her on my back without her already in the carrier.

So what I want from a carrier:
  • MT or SSC
  • Buckle arms, and either buckle or tied waist
  • QUICK back carries (both up and down)
  • Able to tie carrier round baby
  • Nice long body to keep us going into the pre-school years
  • MUST have a sleep hood, ideally poppered or clipped rather than tied
  • Suitable for a petite mama. Bonus points if also suitable for a tall and gangly husband but less important as I do 99% of the BWing.  :)
Spam me your favourite brands please! I am willing to get a custom but I'd prefer an off-the-shelf.
(I'm in the UK, so pretty much all US carriers are available to me but I would like to shop local if possible).

After all, who'd want to push a pram through THAT?  :P
