I have this scary place in my basement. It is a 4x5 space 3 sides enclosed by windows, one with a wall and a small door in it, It is about 2 1/2' high. One set of windows slides to create an opening into the basement. It is covered with straw and everytime I see it ( I do my laundry in my creepy basement) I imagine some ferocious hellhounds coming

I dont understand what you mean. I think no, two sides of the square are windows and they are actually inside the basement, so from the basement you see the windows enclosing the little room.

Was I really supposed to get that first reference? You know I'm from Alabama.The book looks interesting, similar to a movie I saw recently about an author who disappears and has created his own world were his horror movies are the reality and he controls everyones mind, he is the god of his own world, eventually the entire world as we know it becomes controlled by him. The insanity leaks into reality. Damnit, I wish I could remember the name, I know it's a Lovecraft novel. Also, I have recurring dreams about living in houses that seem to change, another room I didn't know was there, rooms and tunnels that continue on forever, walking through the house becomes an expedition.
