This was one of my poems that I wrote when I was, like, 11, so I know it's bad. I handed in my latest poems to my teacher (forgot to type them up) :-) so I will post them as soon as I can. For now, I am just going to post my really old poems (I might find one of two stuck in a book or something).

The night in a river of tears,
For the sky had cried again,
And its sorrow had flashed upon me,
Like a forgotten dream.

The night drifted into darkness,
And knocked upon my door,
For it coveted my presence,
My presence in its midst.

Its cries were of no help to me,
Yet this feeling,
A feeling that sucked me into it,
The darkness,
The tears,
The sorrow.

Once I came,
I came into an empty space,
Unlike the outside,
Unlike the world,
A different universe.

The dreary hallway suddenly appeared,
Its soothing warmth comforted me,
It’s greatness overwhelmed me,
It longed for me,
Prized me,
Expected me.

Suddenly,
This world had changed,
Faded away,
Lost in it’s essence,
I saw warmth,
Felt warmth,
Gave warmth,
It was dawn.

I know it's bad, but I right better ones now (I think I do).

poems, dreams, nightmares, free verse, scared
